Dry Throat

Good morning, all. Happy Friday.

Just curious is any other vapers get a dry throat from vaping. Id figure that with inhaling vapor, you'd have a moist throat, if anything. I just keep sipping water throughout the day and its no real problem. Anyone else get this issue when vaping? I'm vaping 16mg 80%pg juice.

PG in ejuice ia a humectant, that is it actually absorbs moisture much like those little sillica bead packets that come inside new electronic when you buy them. There for as you are vaping your body will dehydrate so upping your water intake when vaping is a good idea.

ya, i've found that to be true as well.. some of the heavier nicotine levels gives me a bit of a scratchy throat.

I had the same problem the first week after I started. As do many people it seems.
The same answer always surfaces. Increase your water intake (which they say is good for you anyway) and hopefully it will start to go away after awhile.

The best thing to do is drink tremendous amounts of beer as you vape. Constant swallowing of beer keeps your throat moist. I recommend keeping an 18-pack on hand at all times.

Water while vaping counteracts that pretty well.

I would try vodka ( also wet ) but they frown on that at work.

For years no matter the weather I have had my water bottle in hand everywhere I go. I dehydrate easily..... As a result I have never experienced Dry Throat vaping. I can say drinking lots of water works and is an easy solve for this.

If I take this advice, I'd be going through beer way too fast...glad I brew my own!

I recommend not using 100% PG ejuices if that's what you are using. PG hardly buffers the skin irritation of nicotine. If you are using 100% PG try some PG/VG juices. I like 70pg/30vg and I don't get sore throat or tongue with that ratio. VG cuts the TH some and buffers the irritation and seems less drying, and ad more visible vapor.

And drink fluids.

I'll drink to that one! Can't wait till I get my starter kit so I can test this theory...
