DSE-084 and Finiti Comparison: A Review

I started vaping two months ago with the Finiti brand sold at Wal-Greens. I then started to do research and realized that I should purchase a nonbranded e-cigarette online because it would be a) more cost effective to purchasing online and b) more fun due to the larger variety of flavors.

The Finiti locks you in by requiring you purchase their carts which come with a brand new atomizer installed into the cart, which is then threaded into the batter (You cannot reuse carts or open them up). They only offer Regular and Menthol (the latter of which taste like the former). I assume the lack of flavors is to avoid regulation by Obama, after he banned flavored cigarettes.

So, against the advice of the forum, I went with the super-minis, in particular, I went for the DSE-084 at lallaboutique. I really enjoyed the Finiti: The PCC eliminated all concern about recharging batteries to quickly. I had no problem with smoke vapor, and the auto battery worked great. The major downside was the price of the carts, the lack of flavor, and lack of a throat hit.

After day one, I have regretted my expensive and international purchase of the DSE-084.

First off,the DSE-084 is NOT the smallest e-cigarette on the market, as proved in the picture:
DSE084 and Finiti Compared.jpg The one on the left (or bottom I guess) is a Finiti, and the one on the right (or top) is the DSE-084
The DSE-084 is NOT 84mm. It is 85mm, at best; it is really more like 85.33mm. The Finiti on the other hand actually is 84mm.

Whatever: 1mm is not going to make a difference. What has killed this experience for me is the following:

Secondly, the amount of effort required to take a drag from the DSE-084 is ridiculous. It easily takes me twice as much effort to activate the light. I literally get tired after 10 or so drags. Placing both in my mouth simultaneously and dragging at a light effort only activates the indicator on the Finiti.

Thirdly, the atomizer becomes warm. The Finiti does not warm up. I probably wouldn't have cared, but I read that story about the noob whose face blew up, and then saw the Safety Recall: SLB Vapros V1 warning up top of this forum and realized that the DSE-048 was manufactured by that company, who on the apology says "the reason why the Vapros V1 was auto-firing is because of three defective components from our supplier ,and our quality dept ignored to test this part" Great.

Now this is only Day One, but I am really bummed. Of all the things I was worrying about going wrong, I honestly never thought that the amount of effort required to activate the e-cigarette would have ever been a problem. This thing would be fantastic otherwise. I will update this thread over the next week to see if something magically changes.

So I still need to change from the Finiti to something else so I can access more flavors and use it cheaper. I will continue, like a noob, searching for a mini. Please excuse me while I post a thread in each subforum for the super-minis, asking if it is difficult or not to activate their atomizers. I'll update this later.

i do not understand why you would purchase this DSE-084. If you want something tiny that performs well an eRoll is probably your best bet. Though for every new vaper i always suggest the same thing. Get over this aggrevation and get a cheap ego twist and some kanger t3's, its not super small but its not super huge either. The performance will be night and day.
