yo han, is there a replaceable atomizer for the 601 for $13.95?

e-cig sell them for around $14 dollars.. they call them atomizers but they are in essence complete pipes except for the little battery cap..

so a complete pipe can be bought for $14 dollars.. express shipping ($20) is the problem which is why we used to buy a minimum of four at a time...

$14 dollars for such nicely made thing is a joke.. they are nicely made.. i know enough about engineering practices to know if something is nicely made or not....

they work very well when dipped the atomizers are big and hold up to ten drops..

all in all very nice things except for the sherlock holmes factor and the fact atomizers dont last long enough.. we used them as our main devices for around two months..

i toyed with the idea of fitting a 901 atomizer to them but never took the idea further..

and yo han.. sorry if u are something more than just another poster.. i have no way of knowing who are..

trog

ps.. it is generic 601.. i think it is made by kingfox.. at least they use exactly the same pic as e-cig does..

Actually, Trog, the idiocy of not making these e-pipes with removable and easily replaceable atomizers is one place you and I agree. And you may be right about the lifespan of these things, too. Mine's going on 4 weeks of doing about half my smoking, and has gained a bad taste that repeated cleaning hasn't taken care of. Looks like it's almost dead.

BUT, I think you're wrong about the e-cig.com pipe being the same as the 601. An e-cig.com penstyle looks just like any other pen, but doesn't perform nearly as well. Just because they look alike doesn't mean they perform alike. I've never had to drip my 601, and the cartridges seem to drain pretty dry. I've refilled as much as 1 1/2 ml into them, so they seem pretty efficient to me.

Hey I couldn't agree more :) I didn't mean to say that you were wrong about the E-Cig products. I've heard many stories about dying atomizers lately (mine from februari is still working great though). But I really think the 601 atomizer is way better and works great with cartridges (all 3 I have).

and yo han.. sorry if u are something more than just another poster.. i have no way of knowing who are..
Of course I'm just another poster, we all are ;)
But I did a lot of research, prototypes and reviews over the last year so it's not that I'm inexperienced. Perhaps you remember my joke projects? click click ;)

Kingfox is not a manufacturer. Perhaps they claim to be but a lot of trading companies do.
E-Cig manufacturs their own stuff, perhaps Kingfox just buys from them because the pics on their site are E-Cig pics. But the 601 is from Sailebao so the E-Cig pipe and 601 are two totally different products.

so can you essentially get an e-pipe by buying just the "atomizer", some batts and a charger from DX and then drip ahoy?

E-LIQ.com - Atomizer for E-Pipe
E-LIQ.com - E-Pipe Lid
E-LIQ.com - Inhaler for E-Pipe
E-LIQ.com - Cores for E-Pipe
So $20 for the parts. Might be bad... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...s-worst-e-cig-related-thing-youve-bought.html

There is also kr-608 pipe and IMO it looks like a quality product. On a quick look, kr-608 looks similar to e-cig.com pipe in detail.

I really would caution about buying from e-cig or e-liq. Although trog got workers, that I think was some time ago. recently the quality seems to have gone downhill, I bought one on impulse and was really annoyed when it didn't work. OK I've kicked it into life but it doesn't bode well for the future. Strange thing is that externally it is a thing of beauty, well made and finished, but the working of the thing lets it down.

I really cannot figure out why the carts don't work but they don't. It does drip well. It is also a heavy beast, more than twice the weight of my Screwdriver. You won't be gripping this one in your teeth for long!

who really knows who makes these things.. i have only had a close look at two.. one generic from pillbox.. lots from cig.. we find them be identcal except for the speckles on the plastic top and the packaging..

it takes very a close look indeed to tell them apart.. the carts are packaged differently.. the c-cig wins as a copy here cos they are packaged in exactly the same over the top way as the original ruyan ones are..

the pillbox one has gold-ish looking torpedo shaped carts.. they are brimming full with liquid thow unlike the e-cig ones which are half empty.. so are the carts from HG.. very good for syringing..

e-cig told me they put less in theirs to stop customers complaining of leakage... he he he.. typical chinese logic..

in my oppinion they are both generic copies of the original ruyan device i see no reason why one should work better than the other.. except for e-cig half empty carts..

we even got a new mothpiece with our last e-cig atomizer orders.. when i said a complete pipe for 14$ except for the red plastic top i meant it..

now if DX sold the bloody things with free shipping they would be better value still... he he

I think the have a bit of idiocy going on, if you go to "https://e-cig.com" you should get in. LiteCigEU seem to do a pipe, 50 euro (just notice my latop doesn't have the euro symbol) I'd be much happier buying from them with a six month warranty. (sorry trog!!)

no problems pete.. but as u know i dont go for this too good to be true warrantee stuff.. assuming i am even vaguely right about the stort life span of a generic pipe how the hell can they afford it..

our three family users would have been sending em back six pipes a month.. in fact this whole new e smoking scene is away with the fairies just waiting for a whole bunch of sellers to go broke..

and when someone tells me that for £38 up front wayne at HG will keep sending em new ruyan blings for the next five years i just cringe with disbelief..

in fact a lot of what is being said in this place is making cringe with disbelief..

Well, I know most of the manufacturers so i you have doubts about a model just let me know. And if I don't know I can always asjk my contact in China.

jig, can you link to a page that shows the kr-608?
KR models are from Kanger.
Electronic Pipe

By the way, don't take for granted that the pictures on the websites (even from the REAL manufacturers) are always the products they're selling. It's China; just take what you need. :)

Hello yo han I also have the DSE-601 and yes it works better with cartriges. Do the atomizers they sell for the epipe are the same or will they be different in terms of vapor and everything else? Do they actually fit? My screwdriver is on the way and I am debating if I should return my pipe. TO be hones I kind a like it. Well, let me know please. Thanks

I spoke to Debby at LiteCigEU and she said if I return the atomiser she will send a replacement no problem. Sounds like it's a we both pay postage each way kind of deal.

However she suggested that I try to 'reset' it first. I was advised to take the battery cover off and rest a teaspoon across the little bar that clips the battery in place and the little square block that sits beside it and hold it there for 30 seconds. I did this and the light came on and a lot of hissing and popping ensued. Sounded suspiciously like a cleaning cycle to me but I thought what the hell it can't make things any worse than they are already. To my surprise the pipe is working again and there's no foul taste. Not sure how long the fix will last for but seems to have done the job for now.

I must say I'm impressed with the level of customer service at LiteCig. They have responded very promptly to every query I've emailed them with and been very helpful.
