DSE 905 Questions

I recently bought the DSE 905 V4, and opened a support ticket with madvapes due to an issue I'm going to cover here (just to make sure i'm not complaining about something that is supposed to happen).

When i pulled it out of the box, it looked like so:

As soon as I popped the battery in, however, it looked like so:

Now, i don't know if it's supposed to do this to accomodate 2 3v batteries, or if i just got a bum mod (my gut says the second one, hence the open ticket). Just thought I'd get some feedback while i'm waiting on a reply from the lovely folks at MadVapes.

I got a 905 from MV awhile back. With a very little bit of sanding inside, I was able to fit 2 CR2's in it. Nice at 6V. Maybe the diffrence in machineing? Does it work? If so you got 2 mods in one!

Press fit bottoms Despite our testing all the 905's they pop out once in a while and if you haven't logged a ticket yet, please do and we'll swap it for you..

with 2 batts, they're longer than a 14500 so screwing the unit completely together may either cause the bottom to pop out of the inside plastic of the top cap to break. Screw down until just tight and then hitlowe's for a rubber washer to cover the remaining threads and to prevent screwing it together too tightly..

thanks hoogie, and lexi, it only works here and there. i'm using a bit of aluminum foil currently to complete the circuit, and it's still not 100%.

I use a 905 when Im away from the house. If its out like that and your sure you want to use 6v You should steel wool both parts, mark them for fit and solder together, then touch up with some black. Problem solved. A custom 905 6v mod.
