I have an DSE801 that works great with the battery and wanted to get a passthough for the same model. When i brought my new 801 Passthough I also orderd a new atty also. when it came I plugged it in without the atty attached and the passthough seem to work fine orange glow but as soon as I attach my atty all I will get is flashing green? I swapped out the attys with the same results. when this happens I will also get a pop up stating that my USB port exceeded it's power rating.
I also tired a USB wall charger with the same results.
I should add that this is my second passthough as I sent the first one back because of the same issues.

Anyone else have this problem or a fix?

Thanks
I also tired

As cool an idea the USB passthrough is, it has caused numerous problems when plugged into a USB computer port. You found that out. Apparently, the current draw required to power an atomizer can cause power issues on a computer. There is not a simple solution for your situation. You can use an AC powered wall wart with a USB interface or look for a battery powered USB solution similar to the Kensington Portable Power Pack. There are some USB power sources that plug into the cigarette lighter of you automobile to provide power while on the road. The minimum output you should be looking for in any of these devices would be 5 volts/1 amp.
