A regulated mod requires a chip (dna-30, sx-350, etc.) which regulates the output voltage or wattage.
You can build a box mod without the chip to get unregulated voltage. There are plenty of topics on this board
relating to what you want to do. Also plenty of videos on utube. Post some pictures when your done with your build.
I might suggest you do a bit more reading on the subject before you start building. Learn about current, battery capacity, wire gauge and its amp limits, understand what the specs are on switches and what they mean.....

You can get chips that will make over 50 watts. I have seen them do over 100 watts!
Unregulated would be straight battery to coil. The problem with unregulated devices are that both batteries have to be the exact same, and they have to have the same charge constantly.
