Just had an idea... What if some one was to build an atty with 2 coils (or more) and wire them in parallel. Im sure it would be hard/time consuming to get them to both be the same resistance so they pull power equaly but,
Say they were both 3ohm and with Rt=R1*R2 / R1+R2
Rt=9/6 =1.5ohm
And with 3.7v and I=V/R
I=3.7/1.5 =2.5A
Then with P=VI
P=3.7(2.5) =9.2W

With just one coil
I=3.7/3 =1.2A
P=3.7(1.2) =4.4W
So theoretically you could get twice the power(heat) by sharing the heat with another coil, instead of upping the voltage to heat 1 coil more (and shortening atty life)?
Anyone have ideas on this, does it make sense? Obviously the whole atty would have to pretty much be custom but it might be worth the effort.
