dual coil cartos in tanks

This may be a dumb question but I thought dual coil cartos tended to flood. When someone mentions a DCT I figure they're meaning "dual coil tank". I have some dual coil cartos but I haven't punched any because I have heard they don't work well in tanks but now I see lots of vendors selling punched dual coil cartos to use in tanks. Can someone clarify this for me.

IMHO, there are two things to be careful of when using a punched cartomizer in a tank.
1. Be sure you have just one small hole punched - lighter, PG liquids don't require a big hole at all.
2. Only prime the carto with about 1/2mL of liquid.

This applies to any carto - not just DC.

I've got the new dct tank and I actually find it to work well so far. I do check the filler and I am put off by the fact that it is always dry on top though. If anything the hole could be a little bigger but I use 50/50 juice.

I've flooded a few times because of operator error. Improper filling once. I filled with the top cap off then pushed it on. That forces too much juice into the carto. And once by punching two big holes with a nail. Again, too much juice in the carto. I use a saddle valve for punching cartos now and just one hole. Shan B's video is a good primer.

I have gotten some stiff draw from mine but I think I may have over achieved when punching them. I have had no flooding problems and not other porblems with them in my tank. Of, course I have only used the tank for about 5-6 days. But am loving it so far.

I am loven using dc 1.7 cartomizers in a dct tank. They are giving me a strong TH and lots of flavor. It seems as time goes by they are coming up with better and better products for vaping. And that's just fine with me.

dual coils work tremendously perfect in a tank!!! The tops will appear dry, but I've gotten consistent hits and flavor out of them for up to 12 days, which is much longer than I got out of them without a tank and keeping them topped of meticulously, where I was only getting about 4-5 days use out of them (as the draw became stiff and they died).

I'm sure you'll get lots of resonses to this. I judt don't liike DC cartos. I have shortened all of the DCTanks to a length suitable to a Boge carto. For me, it all boils down to KISS. I have only one type of carto that I use, Boge sr, less expensive, great vape.. And I have multiple VV pv's, so I can always get the vape I want.

I got the smoktec DCT. The hole was too small and never realy had any effect using BWB espresso... So I gave up on it. Today, I slotted a carto on both sides... WOW... I can see the air bubbles and no leaks... WOOHOO
