Yes they DO work with regular 510 batteries, and theoreticly the oHms are correct and should not damage or shorten the life of the battery.
BUT, I have not done thorough testing on this, only tried to see if they work (which they do)

actually kind of risky on a "regular" battery. 650 mah minimum recommended and folks say 800 or more preferred. Also has to do with the switch in the battery--some of them cut off if too much current is drawn others could get damaged. Iv'e been using them on ego batteries which are lasting considerably less time between charges...but no damage or other effects i can tell.

Anything low ohm, stresses any battery. It's a trade off.
I use standard 510 batteries and expect the life to be shortened (and one is finally going bad after 2 1/2 months.). I don't care. The batteries are only $9.00, and I like a cig sized unit. Only regret is I liked the color of that battery....I have more at home.. I'll get over it.

I love them at 3.7V. Same as what you described at 6V. I'm still boggled as to why they can be vaped at voltages over 3.7. Any ideas?

Because the current is split between both coils. For example. 3.7v into a 1.6 ohm atty = 2.3 amps of current draw. the same voltage (3.7v) into each of these coils (3.2 ohm) is only using 1.15 amps of current each coil. Now for 6 volts. 6 volts into the atty (1.6 ohms) is 3.75 amps total current draw, into each coil is 1.875 amps.

Current (amps) = voltage/resistance (ohms). If two identical resistances (3.2 ohms) are wired in parallel, the current is split equally between them. Hope this helps some.

I'm not sure, but I think that these are the cartos that Rick sent me a couple of with my latest Copper purchase. I've been using one for over a week now and the dang thing won't die. I just keep topping it off and it just keeps chugging along. The flavor comes right through on the mild blueberry juice (@3.7v) so what else can I say ... I'll be getting more. Unfortunately for Rick, it won't be for some time as I have cartos coming out my wazoo at the moment.

Got one going and it's been working for 4 weeks. The vapor is still strong but the draw is getting tighter.
Not bad. I hate to retire it when it's still throwing clouds, but might anyways, and then dissect it.

I did not know they could last that long. Take pics of the dissection, plz. Do you know what the fiber is? I would be curious to know.

I have not tried cartos of any type, just dripped our used the standard atomizers that came with my 510 kit Sept 2010. I finally had to replace the kits. I have been thinking that these dual coils be the best for someone new to cartos.

I've dissected em before and they ran clean. No burn. Realize I run a 510 battery and it is thus a lower voltage than many run.
There are stories of burn out there and best I can take from it, is people are running em hot. I don't, I keep em tapped up everytime they get down 10 to 15 drops. My concern is the top coil sits high in the carto and can run dry if not careful.

For someone new, I would use the Boge. Duallies are better in my opinion but also a little more to keep on top of from a "fill" standpoint. Just because they are larger, doesn't mean you run em longer before tapping em up.
I've also had a few Quality Control issues with them. That said, they are still my first choice, hard on batteries or not.

The first one I used lasted a good week before I felt It needed cleaning or a change. Much better than the filler cartos I gave up on 2 years ago. Some seem to work better than others. One likes to spit juice into my mouth and when it stops it's also dried up. Been annoying but I have a bunch more coming. Got the clear duals originally don't know what I was thinking...
