Dual Coil Carts Question.

I can't post in the cartomizer forum yet so I will ask this here and hopefully someone will see it. I bought 10 of the dual coil carts, filled them up and let them soak over night. They rule on my silverbullet at 3.7v. But I also bought some 3.0 volt batteries for it. They are RCR123A Tenergy. They will not fire off the carts. Carts came in a white box marked 1.5+-.02 ohm. Are there any made that are of a higher resistance? I would really like to put these new batteries to the test.

Silver Bullet is my 3rd ecig. Started on a Ego but kept popping batteries due to using low resistance atmoziers and chain vaping. The I bought a Indulgence, worst mistake ever due to crappy metal and threads that wore out. I love the silver bullet. Have the one with the black coating on it, dropped it numerous times over the last 8 months with no problems.

What happened when you tried the 6v (2 3 volt) batteries? Did it get warm? Did the batteries trip and not work? Did you hear sizzle?

DCs are really intended for 5v or better. I've seen posts on eGo users using them, but IDK if they were the 1.5/1.x ohm ones. They are often not recommended for the eGo. They do make higher ohm DC's. But, of course, you want the volts/amps to fire them too. I'm posting because it's late and it might help to get a little more info so the next guy will have it.

I don't use DC's. I know that they are basically a "double barrel (coil)" standard 3.0 ohm atty. Like if you had two 3.0 ohm atties side by side conceptually. Thus, they require twice the oomph from the batteries. 1.5 ohms at 6 volts is 4 amps! 5 v is still 3.3333 amps. High drain might work, but I'd save these batteries for standard HV stuff. I've heard of people using them on 5v and vv mods with great success, but that's not your question (unless you are looking for another mod )

So I hope another RCR123a user will chime in. I think you're either going to switch cartos, switch batteries or stay at 3.7.

1.5-2.0 Dual Coil Cartos work fine on my SB at 3.7 or 6v. What's happening with your SB with those cartos exactly?

There are 2.5 ohm dual coils too I think.

That's what I was wondering too, Boodle. What batteries do you use? I think the protection circuits might be tripping... (a guess). He said they work at 3.7 so the mod must function. Unless you need a spacer or something for the 2 rcr123a's and he didn't know it.

The 3.7 volt batteries work perfect with them 2600mah batts. They seem to last longer than using a regular 1.5 ohm atomizer. When I stack the 2 3.0 volt batteries there is nothing. 1.5 DC with 2 stacked 3.0 batts = no sizzle nothing. I pop a 4.5 ohm atty on and it fires up so I know the batteries are working. I have read people used them with stacked batteries?

I think I need a 2.5 ohm dual coil but can not find any online. haha. I have been looking for 2 days.

I use the same DC cartos on 6v (2-3v batteries) in a Maxi Roughstack and they vape perfect. Long life on the batteries and not much refilling of the cartos. I also tried a 3.7v battery with the DC cartos which just was not enough for me.

Yeah, but what batteries where they specifically for the two 3.0 volt combo that worked for those that are using them on 1.5 ohms? I would guess it's the batteries since the 4.5 ohm atty worked. So he's correct in thinking that the higher ohm atties would help the situation since fewer amps. (All guesswork on my part)

I found some 2.5 ohm ones from Nhaler. Seems the 2.5 ones only come in clear guess ill wrap it with something black haha. I ordered 5 of them, 20$ for 5. Hope they work at 6.0v. Kind of a high price compared to 20$ for the other 10 1.5 ohm I bought.

This is the 2 3v battery combo I use. Grab a few extra sets and an additional charger to play it safe.
