dual coil failure

Hello. Have a Prometheus clone fro fasttech. When I add one coil it works like a charm. Eevry time I add a second coil it doesn't work. I am careful with the coils And, I must say am quite good at making them, spacing them etc. But for the life of me can't make two coils burn bright. One no problem but the instant I add a second - nothing. Any advice? Thanks.

Sounds like your using a cheap battery. You need a high drain imr with an absolute minimum of 10amp rating preferably more.

You did not mention the ohms that the coils are or the gauge of wire.

Are you using a vape fuse?

Do you mean your getting no heat up or it's just so slow that they don't glow.

Are you wiring them in series?

Are you aware that dual coils will run at 1/2 the ohm of a single coil? Thus, if you are successfully running a 2 ohm coil, and add another 2 ohm coil, your are now at 1 ohm. Your device won't fire if you are now beneath the limitation on your device (per VapReis' comment). If you are running a 1.6 ohm coil, and add another 1.6, you are now at .8 ohm. That could be the issue, unless you already knew that, of course, in which case I'm not sure what would cause that.

32 gauge dual 3.2 - 3.3 ohm should be around 9-10 wraps a piece at 1/16. Giving you about 1.7 ohms +/-

From what I can find the amp limit is 3.5 amp. Your maximum power output, amp limited, will be 1.7ohms maxed out on power to 6v to hit 3.5 amps. I recommend that you stay around 1.7 ohms for best performance, highest power, maximum adjustability, and longest battery life.

Dual 3.2 ohm coils of 32g will wake up the dragon. You'll be very happy with it because you'll get every thing above. Plus it will heat up fast. Do not discount it because its 3.2 ohms they fire great.

Or just do a single coil of 28g at 1.7-1.8 ohms

Both these are at the limits of maximum power. However a 3 ohm of 32 or 2.4 of 30 are both really good. All those coils are in th 8-10 wraps at 1/16 Sweet spot

Dual 28g coils and lower gauge are for mechs or DNA 30s
