Personally, I prefer a single coiled atomizer. A dual coil can be inconsistent since sometimes the e-liquid doesn't get down to the second coil. Sometimes increasing the chances of a dry hit.

Also it can drain your batteries a lot more quickly due to it's increased amperage that it needs to function.

I agree, I have had way too many dry hits with DC's to count.
I switched to SC cartos and attys after the experience.
