Hi guys, I decided to try out dual coil sub ohming on my subox mini.
0.9 ohms / coil.
Merge it to become .3-.5 ohms.
I've heard it's dangerous tho I tried taking a few puffs seems fine, although it doesn't seem to have much differences compared to my single coil.
What watts are safe to vape at this resistance?
I've googled the power chart for it, but it doesn't seem to show me much info or rather I don't really know how to interpret it.

Side question, has anybody tried this flavor, I love it so much because of its coldness, I'm not sure if it has gone bad or anything, it smells like wet cotton right now and it's horrendous.
I thought it was my coil/wicking issue, I tried dripping a little onto a bowl and it smelled the same, anybody would help me salvage this problem would be appreciated.

You don't have much problem with it on a regulated box. However it seems pointless on the subtank mini. You'd get the same effect with a twisted coil in it than dual coils. Vape at whatever watts you can consistently vape without getting a dry hit from it. I've ran my subtank mini up to 40w with no problem when I owned one. The only dangerous thing may be a short since there isn't much room, but your mod should protect you from that.

I have never tried that juice or heard of it. I vape unflavored now though. I can't help with that issue though, sorry.

Anything at / near .3-.5 Ohms should be good. Looking at a regulated device - 45 - 60W should be the sweet spot (3.7V - 4.2V According to Ohm's Law). As far as safety is concerned - looks like the coils may be touching near the center which is a no-go. Give it a few test fires (if it's Nichrome or Kanthal A-1) and try to watch the resistance - if the resistance drops or rises rapidly - then you know for sure it's a no-go. So build what suits you best. I'm a fan of the dual coil. I like them, they're warmer than single coils and I just prefer them over their single, triple, quad, octo coil builds.

Thinner gauge wire helps amazingly when doing dual coil builds in a device with such a small chamber. 28-30AWG preferably because you can twist the leads before clamping them under the screws.
