Ok so I've been "attempting" dual coil builds for a few weeks now and whatever I've done "hasn't" worked. But this morning I took another go at it, built two 1.2 ohm coils made sure they were perfect, put everything together but my battery was low at the time so I grabbed my friends smoke tech telescope and PERFECT, huge clouds no shorts, no hotspots, I was satisfied. But after a while with a new battery charged I put my igo-l back on my sigelei 8, nothing..... barely any vapor, switch getting hot even when pulsing. I'm sure its my #8 but I've done all the required mods to get rid of the voltage drop. But still nothing.... anything I can try? What would be a cheapish mech replacement?

Your battery isn't making contact with the top and bottom post. Re-adjust the posts and it would be a wise idea to clean the contacts.
It's your coil setup then, not the Sigelei #8. You have hot spots in your coil setup. I'm not sure why it worked with your friend's setup, but that's the only issue I can point out to you.
