been looking for a good one for a while. Not into the whole Temp control fiasco going on atm. Im just looking for a reliable good mod that will last me a long time but better battery life than a single 18650. Right now I have a company in mind to make a custom one, but I was wondering if there were any other 2x18650mods out there already? Mosfet is required because I plan on subohming, and I'd rather not deal with having to order from someone off facebook. So far the only ones I could really find were the ABS box mods by cigreen but they do not look very well made, as well as other 18650s that just are laberled and plastered with horrible logos/designs. I would prefer a simple dual 18650 mosfet box mod, any help would be nice.

Well if your interested take a look at vaporlips.com for custom made if thats your bag. But you could save much more by buying the mass produced. Have you looked at the Cherry Bomber clones?

Ah wait don't think cherry bombers have mosfet:unsure:

yeah i looked into vaporlips, they are the one im most likely going to go with, their timeframe for delivery is about a month. I just been looking around to see if there are actually any boxes out there I can buy and receive quicker. Im really just looking for a plain jane dual 18650 parallel with a mosfet but for some reason something so simple seems so hard to find.

Thats what I'm guessing. I'm sitting here bored at work and decided to look into it as well. Nothing but custom made mods and little to none that you haven't seen yourself. I do however have a mod being made by Vaporlips as we speak. Put in the order almost 2 weeks ago and my experience with them this far has been great.

yeah i requested a quote by them and saw them on plumes of hazard, they look like outstanding generally good guys. It looks like I might be going with a custom from them if my search still comes up empty. Only other one I've really found was buzzboxmods, but their pricing is pretty insane, base is like 120$, then they charge 30$ for a mosfet, 13$ for magnet, 18$ for a switch, i think the 'simple parallel box mod' I crafted on their site came out to somewhere around 180$, which is pretty pricey lol.

Hmm might be awfully close to the same price from buzzbox if you chose a custom paint they don't already have on hand. But with it being only mosfet it shouldn't take as long as mine. Good thing though all of their boxes are the same price roughly $90 but they don't itemize price of each piece.

Any who I wouldn't back down on the paint I chose as it was "Wild Orchid" which I think was a beautiful choice. I'm paying $$$ for mine due to the sx350j 60w chip but thats fine. Upon looking at all the custom boxes that use that chip or dna40, this custom piece was much less.

Ahhh just to throw out and normally I wouldn't but Amazon has a stock of dual parallel mosfet mods for sale from small time vendors looks to be about $130 or less

All of the dual battery with MOSFET mods I own were made by me out of Hammond Boxes... except for my SMY Kung-Fu, which works well and meets most requirements, except that it has a Kung-Fu logo on it. There are also dual battery mech boxes with fully mechanical switches that work for sub-homing without a MOSFET. The Dimitri comes to mind... its also sleek looking without any gaudy logos.

i was thinking of maybe making my own, but i have no way to cut holes into the hammond boxes. Also the buzzbox came out wayyy overpriced. I can get a chipped one from vaporlips for about the same price =x, the one from vaporlips i got quoted for a few 130-160$, and that custom paint though that they offer is wicked. I most likely will go with vaporlips

I have an sx350j 60w mod they are making atm. Shortly after paying for it I told them I thought putting on a vinyl sticker to complete the look. Next thing I know they were offering to engrave it for free once they received their engraving machine. So as long as the device wasn't painted yet they would use my image to engrave it. So hopefully and not holding my breath that I can get it done. These guys really want to go out their way for you to promote the business.

o wow. They are getting an engraving machine? Maybe I will wait on the order for it to show up on the site or see some samples of the engravings.

It sounds like you're looking for higher end box mods but I'll throw in my .02 anyway.

For a cheap one I love my beastbox sold by fast tech. I bought the cheaper one because I didn't realize they had other options where I could have gotten it with the MOSFETs and a voltage readout for a few bucks more (I paid 25$, and the 'upgrade' ones are 30-31), and I could have gotten one without the logo.

It's cheap and made of PMMA (polycarbonate is an option as well) however you get pure value out of the price as it is solid and has a nice button but it's also kinda large since the walls are quite thick. They sell a wood one which makes no sense to buy a cheaper unregulated mod and get one made of wood. If a friend wanted a cheap starting box mod I'd recommend it in a heartbeat. I use my Atlantis tanks on it and it works great, if you want to get a nicer box mod and have a cheaper one for home you put your tanks on like me it's worth having. It's nice to be able to use an RDA and my tanks without having to change them out constantly, and it keeps your tasting ability more acute by switching up the flavors more quickly.

Only problem is I've killed a set of batteries with it as unlike most things including my Sigelei 150 the batteries go in with the positive facing the same direction which means that installed opposite you've created an instant short circuit - luckily I realized they got very hot quickly and knocked them out by banging it with my hand before I closed the cover, had I not realized this they would have vented for sure and who knows what else. I have seen on reddit that someone had the same one with no MOSFET and it eventually burnt out their switch. I was going to add one to mine but since it has worked fine so far I'll just vape it until it burns out and then buy dual MOSFETs and a new switch to add to it.

If anyone wanted a case to build their own mod/making it paralell or trying to fit a VW/VV board in something this would work for that too, though the battery compartment would probably have to be modified and the positive terminal as well to fit a board into it.

You can cut them quite easily on your own if you live near a TechShop or something similar. I've used them a couple of times for various projects and they're great.

I have one from the following. It is a DNA30, Fat daddy 510 mount, 2 x Sammy 25R in parallel and fingerprint magnet...I like mine. I got it last July for $125.

dsi-box-mod - Pick N Puff Vape Shop & Lounge Las Vegas

I did not see them listed on the website, but I think someone there makes them. The pic has Ph#, address...

Good luck

On Vaporlips, I gave the info for a plain one and will get the price. I put in the attributes exactly like my DSI DNA30 except I went with a DNA40 TC.

Well, the Sammies probably don't come with it.

I am curious, I'll see what the price is.

yeah I did one for the new yihi sx350J and that came out to around $285 shipped. but the lead team was 4-6weeks now, seems like they are getting tons of business. I just dont feel like giving that much money with a long lead time like that =x

Lol I could of told ya that, unfortunately that is close to what I paid for mine and its finally being built. The good news for me is the engraving they offered to me for free is a GO! So truthfully in a way it kinda works out the extra money I paid for mine instead of purchasing an sx mini m class.
