yet again I need advice, I have a kanger mro min3, and ive just brought a 5 pack of duel coil, put new on in my tank, started at 1.8ohm, fine after couple of hours I filled with more juice and put the bottom back on then it shoes at 2.3ohm!! I just don't get it, it dosnt taste burnt, but its hard to get a drag, I have to drag for a while to feel like im getting a hit! I have a innokin vv4 itste, this is my second pack of duel coils and it really bothering me, ive not smoked for a year now and its making me feel like why the hell am I bothering its cotsing me a lot, ill never smoke again as I hate it, on a good note ive just got so sick of this ive ordered a eleaf gs tc istick 40w kit, I cant wait for it to arrive, I was going to use theses kanger tanks with the eleaf but at this point by the time the kit come ill happily dash theses away, or is it me am I doing some thing wrong that I buy them at 1.8 and with in hours they fire at 2.3/2.4?

Possibly a Bad coil head............or........Loose coil head. When you unscrew to fill you might accidentally loosen the coil. I. assuming you meant Mt3 mini?

Just had to replace a Coil head in Daughters Aspire for doing the same thing. Failed/failing coil was the culprit.

First step is to check if tight.

Unscrew the atomizer, q-tip the battery where the tank touches and clean off the bottom of the atomizer and try it again. Those prebuilt coils are a crap shoot - some work fine and some are DOA.
hey, ok ive given it a really good clean with a qtip, and the battery also, and I feel im getting a better draw, but on the screen on the battery its gone to 2.6!! would it be safe to say so long as im getting a good drag and no burnt taste its ok to use? every time I fill it up the ohms go up!

wow now there at 2.7!! ive just put my wattage up to 13, and im getting a ok drag now, im guess its safe to do that,
@guccirush9876 I personally wouldn't trust something that jumped .8Ω on me. If I put a 1.8Ω coil in and it goes up to 2-2.2Ω I take it as - once you wet the coil it will sometimes change your resistance but .8Ω is quite a big jump in ohms. I would say try a different coil.
I know what your saying, its a worrie, I had this last time with the last 5 pack of duel coils and they all did same thing, its doing my head in to say the least! if I put new in and same thing happens that's a 5 pack gone in a day its to costly, ive got 2 kanger tanks, and out of the 5 pack ive already used 2 duel coils, I cant see how it could be but is it possible it may be the tank? I cant see how tho. at least ive got the eleaf istick 40w on its way Monday and that comes with a gs tc tank, so hopfully that will be just right for me, thank you for your help

I'd be less worried about the ohms climbing higher than ohms dropping lower. As long as its vaping fine, don't be too concerned.

What type of e-liquid are you using? Juices that are sweet (more sugar content), or darker in color, or with a higher Vg ratio will tend to clog the coils with gunk (byproducts of sugars and flavoring agents which don't vaporize) and increase the resistance of the wire coils (increasing higher ohm rating).

Depending upon the type of juice device you're using, you may be able to dry burn (pulse fire the coils without the wick in place) to clean the coils before needing to replace them.

I agree Baditude. guccirush, the heads are probably not up to par but as long as the resistance is climbing it's not dangerous. Use them until the vape becomes unsatisfying to you or you sense juice burning.

I don't know your tank so I don't know if the heads can be dry burned and the coils re-wicked. If that can be done you should be able to get a lot more life out of them. I've had other tanks that I dry burned 20 times before their performance degraded to the point that I noticed it. If your heads can't be cleaned there are other devices out there that can.

Another thing is you don't have to use dual coils. Single coil setups can be very good too. I switched to dual coils when I went to rebuildable attys. Single coil heads may be easier to clean than duals.

I have this issue with my Istick. Some of my 1.8s read as 2.0-2.3 when I install a tank. I found, since I don't want to strip threads (or damage o rings), I tend to put things together a little too loosely. Nothings leaked because of it, but I do notice the ohm jumping. Just tighten the connection ever so slightly and it should drop.
