dumb question # .... signature

what is a signature?
i thought it would be something that comes up in each post at the bottom .... i filled in a signature from editing my settings and will test here to see if it comes up....
some folks have way too much time on their hands ....

Settings>General settings

Scroll down to Thread Display Options and check show signatures.

what i mean is down at the bottom left of the reply text box there is a check on "show your signature". is that what you mean?
or do i go to Thread Options at the top of page... going there

Go to Settings
Select General Settings
.....scroll down to:
Thread Display Options
Visible Post Elements:

Show Signatures
Show Avatars
Show Images (including attached images and images in code)

You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.


...and yes...make sure the show your signature box at the bottom of the post is checked.
