Dumb questions from new vapor vaper

Been reading thru the forums to research. Bought a Janty kissbox thing. Managed to put it together and charged and puffing before I realized I didn't have a cartridge in, just the dummy mouthpiece thing that came with it. Okay, got the cartridge in.

I keep reading about throat hits, but when I inhale like a regular cigarette, it is too hot or something, it makes me cough. Watched one of the videos on this site that showed the guy not really inhaling. So my question is am I supposed to inhale like an analog cig? Or what? Is a throat hit a good thing or a bad thing? I want to be able to drag on it like an analog, but without coughing each time. Is that possible?

You do have e-liquid (nicotine) in the cartridge, correct? Other than that, I just started out with a few weak puffs... but I pretty much drag on mine like an analog. No coughing here.

ETA: It could be the strength of your e-liquid (nicotine, e-juice...). I use 11mg myself. I believe that's sort of mid-range... or the low side of mid-range. Maybe yours is too strong?

I puff a couple time like a cigar and then start a SLOW AND SOFT drag. You will get used to it after a few days. Just test some different drags until it tastes good.
