Thanks dspin for clarifying that for me.

So that's what it means when something says clone in the description.

I get it now.

I would never knowingly support someone doing that.

Stealing other people's ideas is wrong even if you can get away with it.

That's a shame that alien Visions didn't register for a trademark.

Thanks for your help.

Cindy

AVapor has only foolishly applied for a trademark ... chances are it will be denied on the grounds alien Visions used the name Boba's Bounty first and can prove it.

I've been down the trademark road myself ... Even Lucas Films has no claim to Alien Vision's Boba's Bounty, as it is not confusing with or trying to deceive people into believing they are part of Lucas Films.

Before AVapors is awarded any Trademark ... Alien Visions will have the chance to contest the mark.

They must have trademarked the name only, because Disney owns Lucasfilm, who owns the rights to Boba Fett's likeness. I've said it in previous posts, I have no idea how either of them haven't been slapped with a cease and desist yet.

Lucasfilm/Lucasarts/George Lucas etc.. didn't invent/create the word/name Boba like they did the word Droid. Now if it was called Boba Fett's Bounty or in Alien Vapors Case, had his photo plastered all over it thats a different story. :p

I just ordered some of the real boba's today and also have some of the knock off boba's sitting around. When I get my real boba's I'll do a comparison / contrast review of the two and post it here at ECF.

I was going to do the same thing but it's probably already been done and I'll get a "that's already been posted" reply. lol

Your welcome - and for all who are interested in why modders cant reduce their prices- here is a comment from a friend of mine from Croatia to a person telling them they should reduce their prices and be cheaper like china clones: I have permission to use his words to help people understand

I dont know how to lower the price m8. Can not speak for others but we can make 250
units a month. 18 CNC positions + 5 parts made by someone else. To clean them it takes 2 weeks.
To polish them around 15 days. If we made a tube mod it would take less i guess.
9 workers that you can not pay 120$ a month like they do , machines and tools , bill for electricity,
water, tools and knives that wear out , office costs , TAX is 25% etc...
I would love to have the same cost of production as chinese have , my god we would be millionaires. :)
But sad truth is that at the end of the month we can cover the cost of production and pay the workers
and cleaning lady. And two of us of course. But people still think modders make milions , lol.

ALSO here is 8 minutes worth watching to understand
