The OlaX is a beast - tough as nails.

Billet Box Rev 3 are too.

XvoStick finish is more likely to scratch your keys than the other way around.

innokin (pretty much all the recent releases).

I love my Provis. Regarding durability though, they're no longer the only game in town. There are now MANY great mods that will live through through hard drops.

We've come a long way, baby. ;-)

It occurred to me that the OP may already have a provari, and is looking for something else.

Maybe why their post asked for something OTHER THAN a provari.

At least you and a few others answered his question.

(Oh well, at least it's not as bad as back in 2012 with the fanbois and the "get a provari' every other post  ) Of course, there weren't many hardware devices out back then to choose from, so I kinda can't blame them.

This was a pet peeve of mine last year and year before in New Members forum. People would ask for a pocket-able device, and being new, didn't know what was out there, and the answers would include mods that are not even close to "pocketable". Or they would say they didn't want something, and then get 5 suggestions to buy the very thing they just said they didn't want.

Yeah, just ignore me, but one of the things that drives me nuts. It's like asking directions to Aldi's and somebody sends you to Shoprite. Or asking for the best hamburger joint and gettting sent to a sushi bar.

The 60w Dicodes Dani box (18650) and No.06 box (26650) are tough and have a 2 year warranty. Dicodes is kind of the german Provape, and many consider it better over all and at least as good or better quality. Once you hold one I understand how it gets the following.

The mod has an amazing smooth, accurate signal. The german engineering is very apparent soon as you hold one. Now it does have TC (supposed to be some of the best) you of course don't need to use it. Like you, I really don't use TC much.

If you're in the US though, you will likely have to order from another country, and it will come to about $240-$250 to get including shipping.

Dicodes Dani Box

Though there is a site now in the US for dicodes but they cost a lot more than just ordering from the UK, and I am not sure about their legitimacy yet.

Provari, BuzzPro, Darwin (2012, unless my memory escapes me). There are those who argued Lavatube in the same category, but nobody who made that argument owned any of the other three.

I do miss those old threads. :D

In my hand at the moment is a $30 Wismec that is built as solid as a rock (just don't futz with the locking switch!). Times HAVE changed (yay!!!). :toast:

I understand that many mods are fairly smooth, but dropping them can be lessened. I use coffee mugs, I don't put mods near a table edge, and texture. This is one. It is texture paint (Ace Hardware). It was pretty rough so I sprayed two coats of clear sealant on it. It smoothed the roughness. I call it the "Cinder Block".

I still like my coffee mugs. The are good conversation pieces.

I have been through most everything out there and for durability and longevity, I would look no further than a Provari Radius (now available in 60 watts) or a REO. I know neither of these technically "fit" what you are looking for, but having been in the same position as you, these are my devices of choice.

Good luck!

I was a big supporter of the buzz pro back in the day. I also had a buzzbox which still works but the door won't go on. Was pretty cool but I beat the hell out of that thing.

Both our buzz pros died after a year or so. I went to provari's after that and have been outta the game for a couple years because of that! They have been absolutely bulletproof.

With the FDA stuff I've just come back and I'm in the same boat now. I'm looking for the latest and greatest. So thank you for making this post.

I'm planning to buy a couple of the provari classics, a radius, and 2 more non-provari durable mods. So I'll be watching this thread and the suggestions closely.

Also need to find some tanks. Back to some serious research to include DIY juice.
