DX is too slow

DX (Deal Extreme) has good prices but can we get the same things we need for our Super-T's at Battery Junction, for quicker shipping? It's been more than a month since I put in an order with DX and I just got an email that said the batteries have shipped but the charger is still 'pending'.

Yes, Battery junction is good, i just ordered a couple of 10440 batteries from them on thursday and got them on monday. Quick shipping when they have it in stock.

I just got a big order from BatteryJunction. I thought many of the prices were cheaper than DX, too. Ordered on Saturday, got it on Wednesday.

wow. i just cancelled my order from dx and this was the confirmation that came up.

FWIW, lighthound.com out of Texas is good to have bookmarked as another stateside source. They tend to be a bit higher that batteryjunction, but they are another option that beats the socks off of DX!

Some AW models have a vent feature inside that keeps them from exploding is the main feature.

AW is reputed to be one of the safest brand of batteries available, if not *the* safest. You pay more, you get a little less mAh, but you can't get much safer.


Just watch out with their RCR123A batteries, which are 3.7 volts. Prodigy PVs, and some others, need 3.0 volt RCR123A batteries.

Model airplane and flashlight crazys say the difference in storage (mAh) is simply that AW doesn't lie like the 'fire's do.

Reminds me of the joke about why women can't accurately measure in inches but I better not go there.

My understanding is that the room required for some of AW's safety measures (like vents) reduces the possible mAh. AW's honest mAh ratings always seem to be a little behind the *fire's ratings, so they're probably equal.
