My wife and I have been smoking a pack of analogs a day for 31 years. I started in the military and smoked through my whole 22yr career. We started on reds, moved to 100’, tried Doral’s, and now smoke Capri 120’s. They are one of the few analogs I can smoke and my lungs and throat does not hurt by the end of the day.
I learned about e-cigs in December, but thought they were only available overseas. A co-worker told his father had bought a Green Smoke and like it. After some research I bought a Green Smoke kit for my wife and me. I liked the fact that it is two-piece, and easy to use. I wish I had spent more time in the research department and found this fantastic forum earlier. I commend everyone on this forum on how you help each other out. You make all the new people feel welcome and able to ask any questions even if they have been asked before. The only stupid question is one not asked. Trust me! I will ask a few in the coming weeks.
I am sure people on the forum have smoked the Capri 120’s and will testify that they are like sucking wind. Very low nicotine and a rather pleasant taste. Their website states they have .8mg nic and a vanilla\honey taste. One of our issues is that the 4mg carts give us headaches and feel like the first time we have ever smoked. I am only able to take 2-3 puffs at a time and still crave the need to smoke. Not the need for nicotine but the psychological aspect of smoking longer. I have ordered 0 mg carts that should be here in the next day or two and hope this will help with the transition. I also have heavy feeling in my lungs after using the PV. I do not know if this from getting use to it or possibly the PG fluid. This sensation only lasts for a minute or two. Through a 12-hour shift I only smoke 4 analogs instead of my normal 12-15. I can already feel a difference by using the PV in my breathing and my wife has too.
I like the way the E-9 smokes with an excellent vapor and taste. By reading the forum I have found that I can fill the carts, but not where I can buy empty carts. Any suggestions? How about manual E-9 batts without the holes so I do not ruin batts by filling the carts or another e cig that smokes like an E-9? Any suggestions on a formula to mix fluids to get a nig mg level of 1 or 2?
I do enjoy using my PV and look forward to being analog free. That day cannot come fast enough! I have definitely gone on long enough for this post.
Thank you :)
Mike

First... Welcome to the forum!
I'm not familiar with the E-9, so I really can't say what would be similar or where to buy empty carts. The heavy feeling in your lungs may just be due to the increased nicotine you're now using. Once you get a lower nic juice you'll be able to judge that youself though.

You might look into Tasty Vapor when you're ready to fill your own carts. They offer 4 oz bottles of 0 nic juice (doublers) at the same flavor/price of their 1 oz bottles of juice with nic. Considering the low amount of nic you all are used to smoking, you could save tons by using the doublers to dilute nic juice without losing flavor and without the jumping into DIY mixes right off the bat. Their forum on ECF has a thread of customers willing to share samples if you'd like to try a flavor, too.

Hi Micheal,
I have the green smoke along with some others now too. It is a good unit that produces great vapor, however it is a bit limiting as to where to find blanks for it. Le cig carries them but they appear to be on back order right now.
There is also many videos on refilling the cartos and one one the le cig page too,LeCig Electronic Cigarette Store - D2 Blank Cartomizers - 808D-2

If you aren't heavily invested in your Greensmoke gear you might want to consider a more common model. The Greensmoke is a KR808D-2, for some reason that I'm not privy to it isn't carried by all that many vendors.

Personally, I use a KR808D-1 which is almost identical to what you have. The only difference that I know of is that the threads on the battery and cartos are different. The thing is, a lot of vendors supply parts for the D-1. They quite often put their own brand name on them, but they're still the same thing. You're kinda spoiled for choice if that's the device you want to use.

I am not that vested into Greensmoke, but need something that is easy for my wife to use as she is time limited. I on the other hand have the time to refill carts and set them up for her. I am open to any and ALL ideas! Anything that will provide a good vapor and taste is feasible.

The green smoke that you already own will fill the needs you have,
on the other hand there is a nifty little kit I own from value 4 life that contains the kr808-d1 Gribeau mentioned. It will charge her battery all day in the little case and hold 2 cartos for when she is on the go. I love mine.
It is basically like a green smoke but a different thread on the battery and much less expensive.

I was kinda trying to stay away from naming names for an alternative unit, I don't want to be labeled as a shill. But since someone else broke the ice I'll give more detail.

As I mentioned, you have an 808D-2. The 808D-1 I have is essentially the same, the only difference I know of is that the threads are different (so you can't use D-1 parts with D-2).

I bought my 808D-1 from vapor4life, and I do recommend them as a good vendor. I have also ordered parts from vapornine with good results. Lots of places carry this model, they may put their own name on it but they'll usually tell you that it's a KR808D-1 someplace. I think it's the most common 2-piece unit right now. Other vendors who carry it (I have not ordered from any of these) are cigeasy, nhaler, altsmoke, and puresmoker. There are other vendors, of course, I'm not going to try to locate them all and list them here. I just wanted to illustrate that there are many places to get parts for the 808D-1.

I can understand you not wanting to name names but Thank You for do it. I will do more research and make a decision sooner or later.
