I was thinking about purchasing a few of these for some close friends who have been smokers for quite a long time. As years go by, I can see the detrimental effect its had on their health and am hoping I can make a change for the better. I've noticed the health effects on myself which is why I made the switch.

I'm looking to purchase maybe 4 or 5 e-cigs as gifts. I was thinking a couple Joye eGo sets since those come with 2 complete ecigs for $60. Though that may not be a large amount of money to some people, it's a bit more difficult for others. Does anyone know if any of the suppliers on this forum will be having a black Friday or cyber Monday sale on equipment?

Don't know why I'm saying this, because you could beat me to the sale and they could sell out before I get my gifts (and a lil' sumpin sumpin for me too LoL)... but Liberty-Flights is having what sounds to be the perfect sale for you - all eGo kits will be $40, all colors...

Might also want to keep an eye out for their $29.99 Rivas - those are actually the ones I plan to give as gifts. 750mah batteries (the eGos are 650 in the kits), but definitely good starter kits!

edit: This is of course, WHEN they ever get the Rivas back in stock.

That leaves lots of money left over to buy a bunch of 30ml flavors and empty 5ml bottles to get them started with GOOD stuffs, not pre-loaded nasty carts ;o)

Congrats on your decision - you're a lil' ahead of me, but we shall persevere!!!

Thanks for the info on the sale :)

BTW, if the Riva's are less than the eGo, but has a bigger battery, why purchase the eGo? Or do their eGo kits come with 2 complete cigs as well?

As far as the Juices go, I've got quite a few sample bottles for them to all try out. I don't want to give off a bad first impression and have them all vape the prefilled poop that normally comes with the kits. I'll probably give each of them a choice of a 30ml flavor if they make the switch. Great idea offering that as an incentive.

The eGo is the genuine Joye eGo. The Rivas are a "generic". But then, that's only part of the differences. Let's see here, I'll paste the two descrips (since I have their page loaded 24/7 anymore, just searching for a spur of the moment deal LoL).

The Joye eGo:
* 2 x manual eGo 650mAh batteries
* 2 x Joye 510 atomizer
* 2 x Atomizer Cone
* 5 x tobacco cartridges
* 1 x high speed USB charger
* 1 x usb mains charger
* 1 x user manual
* 1 x presenation box

and the Riva (copying the Riva 510 - uses same attys, etc as the eGo):
* 2 x 750mAh Battery
* 1 x 510 Atomizer - 2.2 ohm resistance
* 1 x 510 Low Resistance Atomizer - 1.7 ohm resistance
* 1 x USB Fast Charger
* 1 x USB Mains Plug (US)
* 10 x Blank Carts - e-liquid will be required to fill the cartridges, sold separately
* 1 x Atomizer Cone

Again, tho' - because of their great pricing on the Riva's - they sell out before everyone can get them ;o)

I just got these for gifts. If they want to upgrade to a bigger battery later, they can. I'm not a rich guy, so these worked out to $21.83 each with shipping.

I found a better deal elsewhere, but, combined with the other items I needed to order, it was more than I had to spend.
