I have decided to go with a Joye eGo for my first vaporizer because it seems the most versatile. Which vendors do you fellow Canadians out there prefer to purchase your accessories and juice from? I don't want it to be stopped @ customs and want to find the best price. There sure are tons of vendors out there! What's a girl to do?

I get my parts from Heaven Gifts (china) best price but have to wait 2 weeks max, sometimes one week but not at christmas. I just order parts from china and no worries about customs.

I make my own liquid and get nicotine from Xtremevaping (Florida) PM me for customs concerns. Mediska PG From Walmart pharmacy. Now bran VG from any health food store.

Flavors from Perfumersapprentice (US) no customs worries with just flavors.

I have ordered from Happyvaper (CDN) you'll get excellent customer service and it takes about a week to get to Vancouver with cheap shipping. You can express ship it and get it quicker. I stopped ordering from them because of the higher price, but you can use the coupon code "VAPEHAPPY" and get a discount. I got my first ego kit from Jack at HV, very satisfied! Jacks parts get cheaper if you buy in bulk and use the coupon code.

Customs will stop juice shipments sometimes, I'd say 1 in 10 from what I've heard. So if your worried about that then there are some Canadian juice vendors that will sell you what you need. It's pretty expensive if you ask me. I bought juice from Vapables (CDN) just to get me started, but now I've stocked up on nicotine and flavors and would never think about buying expensive pre-made juice. I think it costs me a few bucks to make a 10 ml bottle that lasts me 2 days. If you buy pre-made juice from Canada the average going rate is $18.99 for a 30 ml bottle.

I'd definitely recommend Low Resistance Atomizers. The standard 510 LR's have been known to kill Ego batteries, lots of people still use them with no problems. You can get the Mega 510 in an LR version thats meant for the Ego batteries and I do have one and use it with no problems. You can also skip getting a whole kit and go with a USB battery pass-thru and a selection of atomizers to figure out what you like. The USB battery pass-thru has a built in charger so you can avoid that cheap charger that comes with the kit. Less to worry about, get two.

I can't recommend a single Canadian Vendor that has it all and it's pretty frustrating. I currently use three different vendors and unfortunately none of them are Canadian. But I'm a cheap ....... and will continue saving money because thats one of the reasons I quit in the first place.

After 4 months I'm thinking of an upgrade, probably a mini GLV 2. I'd still use my Ego though.

I read these forums for 18 hours before I chose the Ego so your on the right track!

good luck.

Caexars, Looks like you can get the Leo for $69 kit from Electro Vapors. It only comes with one battery and one atomizer. They don't advertise replacement atomizers. You will eventually need to replace the atomizers on any PV and I know the LEO atomizer costs about $10. You might want to double check with Electro Vapors about the availability of atomizers.

Caexars, I guess you've read the the thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/147767-joye-ego-vs-boge-leo.html there is some good information in there.

I do like the built in charger that the Leo comes with. You will be limited to it's proprietary atomizer though. I've heard it's a good model.

I'd still get the Ego, lol.

I am with Iown on this one. While I do have a Leo on the way for review it was the Ego that got me to quit the 32 yrs of smoking. It has more places to aquire replacement parts and is just an awesome unit.If it is just the bejeweled bottom your after you can just apply bling to your Egos.Vapeography,Nail stickers and the like.If you are dead set on Leo you should order 2 kits cause when that bat dies on you you will have a few hours before it charges to go astray or without. With one bat and one addy you will need back up.

I haven't seen ANYONE vaping in Vancouver. It's a pretty yuppy fitness-fanatic town. I wonder how people will react when I "smoke" in places I'm not supposed to.

I'm about an hour north of Vancouver and I've haven't seen a single vaper in the four months since I started. Other than my gf and a few friends i've turned on to vaping. The idea of a healthy alternative to smoking is becoming more well known every day now. Especially in the news and even our beloved Johnny Depp demonstrates it's use in his new 2010 movie. Didn't Jonny Depp start out his career in Vancouver... 21 jump street.

I think once people know what we are doing and understand it's actually healthier and not some strange weird drug then it becomes publicly acceptable. I've had to explain to my co-workers what it is I'm inhaling for fear they may think I have a drug problem lol. I didn't smoke analogs around them so why is their fog coming out of the work truck??

There are many threads on this topic and the gist of it is: Your making a healthy life choice and who cares what other people think. You should ask the owner of the club or restaurant if it's okay first. Sometimes it's cool to sneak a toot in the washroom or movie theatre. Your not harming anyone so you wont be arrrrrested! lol. There's always the trusty "stealth Vape" That may be the reason why you haven't seen any vapors in town. Sooner or later you will!

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo If it doesn't show up at $39.99, either click on the 20% discount link at the top of the page, or enter ECF at checkout.

Got it and ordered it. Even with $20 shipping, a 30ml bottle and 5XL cartomizers, it was cheaper than to order just the starteer kit with 1 cone and 1 battery from canadian vendors. What?
Here's to hoping it passes customs on the down low.
Thanks guys.
I'm in Maple Ridge and not a soul here here as a clue what vaping is.
I shall get on that :)

I haven't tried cartomizers yet, but heard good things. You'll have the time to figure things out while you wait, lol I did. As soon as you get a tracking number in an e-mail from LF then you can copy and paste it into Canada Post website and get updates as to where your package is. It will say "international item arrived in Canada and will be reviewed by Customs" that can last from 1 day to 14 days usually. It sits at Vancouver customs in line with everything else in the mail.

I've personally had quicker shipping from china. 3 days to get to vancouver, 2 days in customs, processed at Richmond and delivered to Squamish 2 more days, 7 days total including weekends. I've also had my last order sit in customs for two weeks during the pre Christmas season. Hopefully the Christmas rush is over... FYI shipping from HG (china) cost me $3 last time for ten 510 LR atomizers and one XL LR Ego type B atomizer, but it took two weeks.

I won't order juice at the same time as parts. It might be wise to send LF an e-mail and ask if they have taken "special measures" to ship the juice or ship it separately. If it does get refused at customs then it will get sent back to the supplier. I don't mean to worry you and your supplier probably already has taken measures, but sometimes they forget, it has happened.
