I have never once seen an e-cig for sale in person but today a co-worker says he saw one in he THINKS was a 7-11 store here in California. He said they were on a stand, came in a box he demonstrated as being like 5" long.

Has anyone else seen this? I really hope this is the case and they become more visible to people.

I'm in Arizona and I've not seen this. Yet.

I have mixed feelings about it because we have a good community here and some really reliable suppliers and products. What may get put on an end cap or counter of a convenience store may be likely to be low quality and fly by night. This would not be a good experience for someone's first encounter with vaping.

Awareness is good. Being sold a piece of crap cause someone wants to make a quick buck by jumping on the newest bandwagon/trend - not so good.

I've also seen Smoke Stik on display in some tobacco stores. Unfortunately, the majority of posts that have discussed this have also revealed that just the hardware has been available, not the e-liquids....so unless you have a vendor in your local area....you are still going to have to rely on the internet for your supplies.

In Aurora, Il I found a liquor store that sells them. I never heard of the brand but they had different color cats or something depending on the flavor that you wanted. It looked to be about the size the size of the RN4081 but it was a little different. The way the lady behind the ccounter was talking, people went in there all the time to get them but I have never met anyone.

Until someone comes up with a PV that has a super long life battery, indestructible atomizer, and a cart that holds a pint of liquid any brick-and-mortar store selling them is asking for a major headache with all the complaints and returns and demands for refunds they're likely to get. The only stores I could see selling them would be the dedicated smoke shops where they know the customers and can take the time to explain the products. We have a place like that here where the serious cigar and pipe crowd hangs out and fires up the expensive stuff they love and try new stuff.

Forums like ECF are growing a community of informed consumers who not only know what they're getting for their money but help newcomers to recognize the pitfalls. Until the first generation of foolproof e-cigs comes along, the e-cig is made for the e-world. I kind of like it that way, to be honest.

Well glad to hear that some of these places are at least putting "brand" names up for sale. I just remember that I had found this forum first before my purchase (I'm a compulsive researcher even though I'm also impatient).

I had told my doctor about what I was going to do and he had a free e-cig box for me from a patient. I am so glad I found this place first cause that particular e-cig was very old and outdated and would have had me saying "pass" to e-cigs.

I am always trying to get the ecig around to newbies.
THats the whole reason why I always get extra stock.
I just hate the fact that so many people get ripped off on pricing.
THe kiosks around here they go for like 150 for a kit.
Thats what Ive heard.
When I first started experimenting back in January of this year, I went through many different models. Until, I tested all, and found the best models.

Now, that I only use the 901 and 510, I have no complaints.
Except for a fluke malfunctioned kit once.
Thats it.

ITs all about quality.

I got my first e-cig in a "Kangaroo" convience store in Kentucky just over a month ago. It was an NJoy Npro. $49. They were displayed where I could see them, but not where I could reach them.

Same story here, even the month part. Birmingham Al. Then I found the forum, It could have been worse. I could have found Smokanywhere or what ever it is. $100 to $150 for the same PV.

There is a tobacco shop here in San Jose that has e-cigs, I believe he has M401's. I got into a nice conversation with him about the price when he told me they were 150 bucks. I told him you could find them for half the price online. Then he gave me some song and dance about how much better his were because the cart last for two packs of smokes and that made me think where have I heard that before. Thats right smoking everywhere at Oakridge mall, but guess what they are no longer there. I guess their false claims got the best of them.

We're not in a 7/11 but we are in BP's around here. Its hard to get into a chain store because the decision on product comes from corporate and they arent touching anything as iffy as ecigs. But the mom and pop stores or bodegas are somewhat easier to get into because they are usually owner operated
