No doubt this is a pro-vaping conference but these high-brow, highly educated people seem genuinely mystified by the differences in USA vs. UK views about vaping. Not one of them seem to realize these US anti-vaping policies are rooted in the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement whereas the UK has no such ulterior motive to sway politicians.
The attorney did a pretty good job of merely reading the deeming regs verbatim from a powerpoint but provided very little translation for lay people.
And I about choked when one of them glossed over the fact this is a very (extremely) partisan issue within the US Congress.
