The reason I posted it in the FDA news thread is because the only reason CDC and FDA issued that false and misleading fear mongering propaganda was (just as they did more than a dozen times since 2012) to confuse and scare the public in order to lobby for the FDA deeming regulation (which would ban the sale of >99.9% of e-cigs to adults).

Well Bill, I think it was a big hit to us. As I posted somewhere else, not knowing there was a discussion going on in this thread, I think this recent news story will be the catalyst to get the general, non-informed public behind them. Personally, I think we are screwed. You can't fight stupid. The vast majority of those against e-cigs do not know the background behind it and are more than happy to follow along with the media hype. I actually set up a Facebook account last night so that I could post a response about how the actual cigarette smoking has dropped amongst teens. This was along the lines of the responses that I got and I'm not going to post my opinions on the matter anymore.
You know what, ignore health warnings all you want. Ignore the public shunning you receive, the glares you get when you pull out your fancy e-cig. Somehow you think you look cool or classy but the world is disgusted by you. They don't want to be near you or for you to be near their children. They are judging you. They think you are an un-educated, trashy menace to society. That's your business if none of this bothers you. Continue being a selfish ..... who is setting a horrible example for children and a huge burden on others to tolerate your crap. If you smoke bc it's your right, you are nothing but a loser and the world is noticing.
And, for the record, I'm a 48 year old ex-smoker that found e-cigs as a way to quit smoking. Apparently, the world is disgusted with me.

Not sure if I would ever use billy's pee polish on my golf clubs.. I wonder if billy has any diet coke that I can polish them with.

Tomatoes and eggplant have nicotine in them.. I can tell you for a certainty I am not addicted to eggplant after eating it multiple times. I do enjoy tomatoes but I not addicted to them... well those little sweet cherry tomatoes can be like candy.

That anti-tobacco article was on the front page of our Wichita Eagle today....The ANTZ are upping their propaganda campaign. Ya know, if it didn't look similar to smoking, I wonder if there would be such an uproar? It seems as if no one is very impressed with the fact that so many have found e-cigs to be such a highly successful quit-smoking method. They want anything associated with smoking gone - they want a generation who has never heard of it and will never see it. Something similar is not okay with them, no matter how successful it is in getting people to stop using tobacco cigarettes.
I think it made it's rounds as the headline on all local news, no matter where you live. And it's getting ugly. Anyone that argued their point for e-cigs was bashed beyond belief and slammed with false information and personally attacked. I really hate this. It doesn't matter what the facts are. I've learned recently that facts just don't matter. What matters is what you can make the people believe, whether it's factual or not.
You have a two billion dollar business which is pretty much tax free. One billion goes to China. Just watch which politicians take money from big tobacco. You'll find out you vote for them.

its because they changed the definition of a tobacco product from
any derivative of tobacco or a tobacco product to any product derived
from tobacco or a tobacco product.
the former implies the actual use of tobacco leaf or a product made
from tobacco leaf.
the later implies anything that copies,mimics,replaces,looks like,
used in place of tobacco or a tobacco product.
