E cigs and airline terminals

Anyone experience with e cigs in airline terminals.

I've never tried to take them on a flight but have heard people say that they got through security just fine. It would seem that they recently banned their use on planes, however. Here are some links:

I flew last year in September. I didn't try to vape in the airport or on the plane, but got through security with my gear in my carry on with no problem.
