Hey guys, remember I am still new to the Vape scene so I apologize for the dumb question haha!

I've seemed to notice when vaping on my KR808 that am yawning quite frequently.. oddly enough. Is this normal? Along with the yawning my jaw has been pretty sore from vaping. It isn't a hard draw, but maybe I am just vaping too much!?

Anyone else have this happen to you?

Have you stopped or reduced your analogs since you've been vaping? If you aren't getting as much nicotine as you were before, that can cause the yawning/tired feeling.

That might be it. When I quit analogs I switched to smokless snus products. Since I started vaping I haven't touched snus, so yes, that very well might be it.

I can't say as I've experienced excess yawning, and I'm going to go ahead and assume you're not vaping chamomile tea. It could be that you're taking deep enough drags that you're inadvertently triggering the yawn reflex, perhaps -- that's when you flex the muscles that pop your ears. Combined with the deep drag it could be triggering yawns.

I think you and Watkins hit the nail on the head. I take enormous draws from my PV so that makes a ton of sense. That mixed with the w/d's of snus I am sure they're both working in favor of making me yawn. And just to clear things up, I am not vaping Sleepy Time tea here.. haha.

hstl_, it seems counter-intuitive, but you get a better load of vapor in your mouth if you draw slowly. You also don't have to inhale all the way down to your toenails. The vaporized nicotine seems mostly to be absorbed by the membranes in your mouth and down your windpipe about to your larynx -- your lung tissues aren't nearly as good at absorbing nicotine from vaping as they are absorbing the scorched nicotine from smoke.

Thank you for your post and the advice. Maybe together we can keep this topic on the right track. :glare:

Sorry for the double post.. but, I love my E-Cig! Even if it meant yawning 9,000 times a day, I would still vape! Just wanted to know if there was a connection between the two!

I was just teasing! No idea at all regarding vaping/yawning. I was a bit tired when I started vaping (didn't notice the yawning though), I just put it down to quitting the cigs.

with nicotine being a stim like jimmy said, I also yawned some felt tired I guess when quit. But even though your just vaping a regular food additive PG and its not really harmful, it can cause problems when chainvaping. Throat can burn, jaw can be sore, or sore mouth, and you can still get a cough and a lil trouble breathing from vaping too hard too often. Not sure all the scientific or medical reasons this happens, but once youve been off the reg cigs for awhile I would cut back on the vaping a lil.
