I don't have a problem with sales not allowed to minors, just as cigarettes are not (should not be) sold to minors. It seems, though, that all these politicians are throwing the entire e-cig industry under the bus by trying to ban them everywhere, for everyone.

If the issue is nicotine, then I would assume that these senators would also take on nicotine gum and patches. I am offended by the constant barrage of tv commercials for Nicorette gum in flavors clearly appealing to children. The commercials depict the celebration of nicotine use with dancing little people singing "I just want to celebrate" This sends the message that nicotine use is happy and playful and clearly encourages use. Meanwhile, we have film of news conferences with our president using nicotine gum. Clearly, that encourages others to use nicotine as he is considered a role model. The problem is that lawmakers are clearly in the pocket of Big Pharma, the makers of nicotine replacement products and encourage their use because that is profitable for all. These same lawmakers have nothing to gain and everything to lose should e cigs overtake the nicotine replacement market, so their hypocrisy becomes evident in this article. If Nicorette gum can be advertised on tv and used in public by our president, there is absolutely no sane reason for e cigarettes to be banned from tv or from public use. Time to call them out for hypocrisy and for the lies that come with it.
