A buddy of mine informed today that their selling some kind of e cig at the casino boats around here. I didn't catch if it was on the Illinois or Iowa side of the river but my guess the Illinois casinos would have a higher interest in it due to the fact you can still smoke in iowa casinos (on the floor) and can't in illinois..

Thats something casino employees should push for for health reasons...wonder if they can bug the union they belong to for some help.

I first head about 'em when they started selling 'em in Las Vegas bars, where a smoking ban had recently been passed. Casinos, bars and other places where people gather for, oh shall we say "hedonistic" activites and where smoking bans have curtailed their fun seem to be a natural venue.
I bet it won't be happening at my local casino, which is Native American owned. They're pretty big into selling tobacco there!
the casinos here in PA have smoking and non-smoking sections sporadically throughout the casino. i imagine it won't be long before they go completely smokeless though.
I'm not sure how the bans are in all the different states that have them but ours is based on food sales. so, most bars that serve only alcohol or a very small percentage or food still allow smoking.

They banned smoking everywhere for public indoors here. You have to be 15' from any door or window that can be opened, which is probably impossible to do in a casino since they have to be on boats.
I thought the casinos were getting the law changed to allow bars and casinos because it hurt business but I guess they didn't succeed.
It did succeed in Reno, apparently. National TV the other night said that due to a loss in business, smoking would again be allowed in Reno casinos.
I saw that that too TB. I Nugget just isn't the Nugget without the plumes of smoke looming in the air. We used to joke when I live in Reno that they should bottle a fragrance that smelled of gin, cigarette smoke, and dirty metal and call it Nugget. hehe
