E-cigs with No Nicotine ??

My first kit came with medium nic carts, within the day I realized that it was more the psychological (hand to mouth) that I wanted. I ordered lorann oils. vg, pg, and one bottle of 24mg nic unflavored and started mixing my own. Within a week of mixing my own I came completely off the nicotine and now pretty much mix lorann flavor, a little pg, and the rest vg.
I smoked real cigs for 12 years. I got a e-cig 5 months ago and started on 18 to 16 mg of nic. After 2 days of the e-cig I stoped the real cig and never had one since. Over the 4 months I cut down alittle each month on the nic lvl till I was at 0 nic. I did it over the 4 months and never noticed anything different. After a few weeks of 0 nic I didnt even want to vape anymore and had no want or anything. Wasnt planning on quiting vaping either but just kinda happened after i went to 0 nic hehe.
Jtc_333, that's terrific. I enjoy vaping but I wouldn't mind not craving it. I started at 24 mg/ml and have worked my way down over the last sixty days to 8 mg/ml. I am a little concerned about going from 8 mg/ml down to no nicotine. Did you have any trouble when you first went from nicotine to no nicotine?
I went straight from Carton cigarettes to NO-NIC --took one day to quit cigarettes. According to the FDA it takes 5 mg of daily intake of nicotine to get addicted. Carton cigarettes have .01 mg of nicotine per cigarette. That would mean that I would have had to smoke 50 of them a day or 2 and one half packs just to meet the lowest threshhold of addiction. I was only doing 30 a day. So I was never addicted to the Nicotine in the first place------------IMO the hand to mouth is just as addicting and vaping no-nic takes care of that for me-----------Sun

Didn't notice anything different as in no difference of throat hit? If I'm not getting a throat hit I might as well drag on the end of a black bic pen. I'm reducing nic but I think I'd have trouble with 0 if it meant just exhaling vapor sans a throat hit. Could you expand on your experience? Thanks so much...

I received my first kit yesterday, no nicotine, I got Vanilla and Peach. I have been doing great these last 24 hours, I had to go into town today, and pulled out an analog, and it was NASTY, afterwards the smell of the lingering smoke was sickening. I really think they will help me to finally quit. I too think its the hand to mouth thing. Even if I have the ecig in my HAND and occasinonally put it to my lips, it helps. Wish I would have known about this years ago.

I really think they will help me to finally quit. I too think its the hand to mouth thing. Even if I have the ecig in my HAND and occasinonally put it to my lips, it helps. Hey, thanks for that info. My eventual plan is to go to no nicotine. I started my ecig transition yesterday and have only smoked 3 analogs in 2 days. And, like you said....I cannot stand the lingering smoke smell.
The only thing I'm worried about is getting the HORRIBLE nicotine cravings I got when I quit smoking about 5 years ago. My cold turkey quit lasted about 6 weeks and I was CRAZy. Having panic attacks, depressed, and everything but the DT's !! Ha Ha !!
Like you, I think a lot of my problem is the "hole" in your life that results from not having a cig in your hands.....or the "reward" of a cig after finishing a task....etc.
I'm hoping for the best and so far I am REALLY impressed with these ecigs.
What type do you have ??? I started out with a Smoking Everywhere, then bought a Red Dragon and now a KR808 - Zeus. The RD and Zeuse seem about the same and are pretty darn close to the real thing. Did you start out using nicotine or have you only done the no-nicotine ecigs?

JoAnna Sounds like your doing Great! Hang in there, we CAN do this. Its happening... I have the DSE109 I keep it really busy,
