look ecf i just got a thounge piercing and i can smoke regular cigs cuz they dont cuz infection just nicotin stains (avoided by gargeling salt water or mouth wash) but i was afraid to smoke e-cigs because i dont know what they put in there... in regular cigs the nicotin stains are made by the tar i belive and in e-cigs they might be stuff that will infect my thounge? and after the recovery month im afraid to vape! the question is: does e-cigs can make me infection?

No ecigs don't make infection. However nicotine can be more of a skin irritant in vapor than in smoke. The nicotine can make a person's mouth or tongue (or even throat or lungs) sore in 100% PG liquid. PG is thin and lets through the most flavor, the most throat hit and the most of nicotine's irritation. VG is thick and dulls everything PG lets through and adds thicker vapor, but is thick itself and difficult to vape alone by popular methods like cartomizers. In the US we have many juice vendors who sell PG/VG blends. 20-30% VG was enough to help keep nicotine from irritating my mouth, If you only have access to 100% PG and 100% VG juices, you can mix a 30ml bottle of PG juice with a 10ml bottle of similar flavor VG juice to make a 75PG/25VG juice.

I don't think vaping will cause an infection. Most juices contain nicotine, artificial sweetener (usually sucralose [Splenda]), Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG). PG is used to sterilize air. Since it kills germs, it will probably prevent infection. VG is in foods. I think that cigarettes are far worse for your oral health.

Yeah, PG is a bactericide, so I wouldn't worry about infection. It's more the irritation from nicotine and possibly some flavourings that might cause an issue -- but you certainly won't get any bacterial infections, anyway. Try a low nicotine dose if possible first, preferably with a relatively benign, non-spicy flavour, if you want to be sure. If everything seems okay after a day or so you can try bumping the nic level (if you need to) but I'd stay away from spicy flavourings until the piercing has healed enough that they won't likely be bothersome.

PG (and I think VG too?) is/are antibacterial. I haven't gotten sick since I started vaping.

I wasn't sure what OP was talking about, but give the guy/gal from Israel a break. English may not be native language.

While PG kills bacteria and nicotine can be used as pesticide (read that somewhere), vapers do get sores, blisters in the mouth due to dehydration. I don't know if dehydration will inflame the pierced area, so lots of water, eylon!
