as I've stated before I bought a Kangertech Evod as a starter kit.

Just today I noticed that the juice was leaking while I had it in my bag. Good thing too that I always have my e-cig in a plastic bag while carrying it in my normal bag so it didn't leak out into my man purse.

What might have caused the leaking? Is it normal for a device to leak if left in a compromising position long enough?

And I noticed it leaked into where the atomizer connects with the battery. Will this cause any problems? I have rinsed the atomizer and cotton-swabbed the battory where the juice leaked into.

shouldn't cause any problems as long as you clean it off. Leaking usually happens from pressure build up in the tank. I find that it happens when going between different temperatures quickly. Try not letting your tank get too low as more air inside will allow greater pressure change.

When you get a leak (and you will with older bottom coil designs) take the EVOD off of the battery and blow into the mouthpiece while facing the bottom of it upward. That'll blow out excess liquid in the coil area and facing up keeps it from sucking more liquid into the coil. Wipe off excess and put it back on

The evods, protanks and a lot of other tanks work on a vacuum. The more juice that is in the tank the better it holds the vacuum and doesn't leak. Once a partially filled tank get put on its side and that vacuum is broken the tank will leak since there is no pressure holding the juice in. The juice will leach where the silica wicking sticks out of the head. You can slow down the leaking by putting a beefier "flavor wick(s)" than the stock ones provided, like a 1 or 2mm piece of silica. That will slow the leaking down but not stop it once its tipped on its side. You best way not to have it leak is to make sure its not set on its side.
Subdivision has already explained the pressure and that too causes leakage. Being out in the cold and trying to vape cold juice will land you with ugly dryhits, I know I almost coughed up a lung taking a vape off a protank I had sitting in my truck for too long and now I carry my PV's under my coat when I'm doing outside things.
