When I bought my first set of newbie vaporizer gear at a local shop this last weekend, I also bought e-juice that the shop makes themselves. Should I have steeped it?

My other question relates to ordering e-juice online. I've noticed some sites declare their e-juice is already steeped. Others say nothing about it, or have a page that discusses steeping in general.

If a site declares their e-juice is already steeped, should I take that with a grain of salt?

Finally, because am new at this, and poor, I will be ordering e-juice initially from some of the cheaper sites (Best E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes | E Cig Juice - MT Baker Vapor, ECBlend E-Liquids - Something Better). How does the quality of their e-juices compare to the more "gourmet" e-juice sites?

It won't hurt you if it's unsteeped. Taste might just be "underdeveloped" -- though sometimes can taste "bad". Flavors that generally (but not always) need to steep are tobaccos and creams. I would take it at face value if a supplier said their juice we already steeped. Steeping mostly only requires a few days or week -- though some tobaccos can take considerably longer. Just don't throw out "bad" juice till you've evaluated 2-3 few months.

I DIY so can't answer your supplier question. Best of luck!

Well if it tastes good, no need for steeping. Usually juices will improve with age, but it depends on what kind of flavors are in it. Tobacco mixes usually improve with steeping, while fruit mixes usually are ready from the start. I tasted only a few store mixes, and i went to DIY. If you feel you need to steep a mix, uncap them and keep them in a cool dark place for a few days, and also cap them and give them a good shake once a day.

As far as Mt Baker's stuff, i have a few of their concentrates for DIY, and they seem pretty good. There is a thread where you might find more about them.

Good Luck with your Vaping Adventures!!! :toast:
