Hi all.

Ande had a good idea to post a listing of the current state of things on the streets, so I am putting this up. I think this thread may be useful as a listing of current locations to buy liquids with brands and prices.

Over the last few days, I have been all over the Jamsil (Songpa-gu) area and the only places that have liquid are the brand-name retail stores. "Humo" has a location there with their own expensive liquid. "Veil" seems to be popular and easy to get as well, but for a 10ml bottle, the price is 18,000. Home plus (2 locations so far) is dry.

Gangdong is much the same; a few select retailers with premium prices on liquid. 17 ~ 18,000 for 10ml, 35,000 for 20. All of these locations are easily found on the internet.

A few locations listed on the internet are not there anymore, for whatever reason.

Technomart (2nd floor) has retailers, but very select liquids. Janty is there with Ovale liquid, similar prices as above. Some of the cell phone places on the second floor have e-cigs and liquids; "Veil" is popular, as are a couple of other brands, but again, prices are pretty much the same. 10ml/20ml prices seem to be set the same as others. Many different brands of liquids are in the display case, but the retailers said they are unavailable.

Garden 5 has 5 retailers, 3 of which are closed (closed within the last couple of weeks: a friend who recommended to go there for cheap liquid had been there 2 weeks ago and all was running well). Janty is there (same prices across Korea, I suspect) as well as "Cosmo". I had a long chat with the owner of Cosmo; a great guy who seems to be in dire straits regarding liquids. He can only offer one brand (I cannot recall what the name is) and the price is similar to everyone else. He seems willing to give a small discount if you buy a smallish quantity. He also indicated that selling the cheap liquids would land him in legal trouble and if I were to find a way to get liquids, I should be careful. I showed him some websites to order and he seemed genuinely amazed?! He is going to look into the legalities of ordering this for retail but again, seemed pessimistic that it would work out.

The e-cigs don't seem to be in short supply but it is the liquids that are limited. There seems to be only brand-name stuff out there; liquids sold with e-cigs. The liquid-only companies seem to be off the shelves. Perhaps this is part of the latest legislation; that companies who sell the whole package (and who presumably passed whatever testing the K gov't did/does) can continue to sell, while importing only liquids is problematic. This is just speculation; the recent report seems quite ambiguous in its' nature and why liquids are disappearing and small stores are all suddenly closing is unclear.

If you have any locations, brands and prices, maybe post them here as a kind of running reference.

All the best folks.

There's an E Cig store in the underground shopping area in Nampo in Busan which has just got a load of dakang tobacco and fruit flavours in. I got two 10ml bottles for 25,000 which taste pretty good so far. The guy in the store said that three other stores in the shopping area had recently closed down (actually he mimed shooting a gun and said boom boom boom three times) but gave a big thumbs up and a smile when I asked how his business was going. They also sell Ego T atomisers for 6,000 which made me a happy girl.
