Hey all,

I know there has already been a DIY e-liquid calculator app made for the Android phone, but I don't think there is one for the iphone yet. Is anyone a good enough programmer to convert the e-liq excel file into an app for iphone? I would LOVE it! Right now I'm just mixing my liquid by the computer :/ or I suppose I can download the excel calculator and open the file on my iphone, but it's not the same as a sleek looking iphone app!

LOL funny you should mention that, I have a developer working on a quote to convert the ejuice calculator into an iPhone/iTouch app. Here are some prototype screen shots :p

Still waiting on the quote from the developer, he said it would probably take one to two weeks to code and cost me $1200.00 a week programming fees. But I definantly wanted the ability to save and call up recipes in the program.
With the cost I will have to charge for it to re-cope my money, but it would be nice to pull out my iTouch at a friends house and look up calculations at the mixing table vesus going back and forth to the computer. It will be available when complete on the iTunes app store.

Any additions anyone can think of before the programming starts?

i'd have no problem paying for the app, i'm sure other iphone/itouch users wouldn't mind either...i've got 5 or 6 pages of apps on my itouch and i'd probably use this app more than any other!

What about a simple online form, I could program one of those in a few hours. I was actually planning on doing that for the michigan-vapor website.

BTW I still researching DYI e-liquid :)

The online form has already been done by Todd Muller here :
eJuice Recipe Calculator

I want somthing portable I can carry with me :)

I MUST HAVE THIS SCUBA!!!!
I will definately buy this if you make it available.
I have been waiting for something for my iphone.
But honestly, $1200 a week seems kind of steep, isn't there someone on the forum that knows how to do that kind of stuff?
I don't, but I would if I could.

Well if I had a MAC, hey isnt that a song :) Oh wait thats a brain...
Well I have done programming in C, C++, Fortran, Cobolt, Amiga Rexx, VB6, Java. Would love to get a Mac just try programming for iPhones, already have the Developers kit and paid for the Dev License.
I might be able to borrow a friends Mac to play with and see, have a couple that have spares.

Not that I disagree with an IPhone app, but $1200 a week (which seems a little steep to me) for an application that has a high possibility of being denied by Apple, simply due to the controversy surrounding it, doesn't seem like it would be worth it. <--Run on

Making an IPhone WebApp in html/css/java would be much quicker, cheaper (if not free) and completely free to use. All that would really need be done is change the css of Mr. Muller's Web Calc.

Thanks for the plug! I was just about to reply - I made this version because I wanted it available on my iphone - google docs was ok for using the excel version - but for basic mixing and conversion I wanted this.

I might add the ability to add an account for yourself and recall your recipes or share them with the community - could be fun!

hope it's useful for someone!

Cheers,
telemole
