E-liquid lump in throat

I have a bottle of e-liquid, just this one particular bottle, that is watermelon flavored, and when I vape it I get this feeling like I have a lump in my throat. It feels like I have tried to dry swallow a large pill and it got stuck. I really like the flavor of the juice, but I don't like feeling like I have something stuck in my throat. Anyone else have any similar experiences?

Might be with the flavoring, or maybe you swallowed the cart.

The flavoring may have something in it that irritates a gland in your throat. It's only a wild guess, but if the other flavors don't do it, you may want to find out what's in it.

Jim is right, for whatever reason, that particular e-liquid is irritating your throat---be done with it and get rid of it.

I'm no doctor, nor do I pretend to be but I'm allergic to bee stings. When I get stung by a bee, a similar feeling happens to me... any other symptoms? I wouldn't use it anymore...

No other symptoms at all. It doesn't make me feel bad. My breathing is clear. My air passages are not blocked, so I don't think my throat is swelling. Just feels like I have a lump in my throat.

When I was new to vaping, my throat felt like I had swollen glands for the first week or so. A rum flavor I had seemed like it caused it the most. After a week the feeling went away and its never come back. I was also able to vape the rum flavor and it didnt irritate me. Next time you whip out the watermellon, drink a full glass of water afterwards. Since I dont think there is a great deal of quality control with ejuice, your watermellon may be a little higher in the PG concentration and drying your throat out more than the others. Nuvapes juice is what I had for the first week. Now vaping it doesnt irritate me at all, but that first week I thought I was getting strep throat the entire time.

Im stumped on that one, if drinking water dehydrates your mouth and throat. If youve found anything that hydrates your throat, maybe gargle with that after a watermellon vaping session. Cottonmouth is the only other thing I can think of, is smoking something else causing you to reach for the watermellon flavor? I know I typically dont like the fruity flavors, unless its 20 minutes after 4!
