I strongly suspect that obscure and offensive names are used because the manufacturer doesn't want the consumer to know how easy the liquid is to make.
Would i be tempted by a Watermelon and Lime flavour - nope, i'd make it myself, but thanks for the idea. Alligator Guts flavour though - Maybe i'll try it.

If I was a juice maker/DIY'd, I'd def be one of those creative type. Names that have the flavor as the name like, So and So's Bananna Split, I do find it helpful in many cases but many times people say.. "oh there isn't enough bannana in this".. or "oh it's not sweet enough or too sweet" etc. I think by using creative names, Faded's Duck Fart, it's the taste and imagination from the vape experience on the inhale and leaves you're mind on it's own to put the flavors together. It's not always about wanting to be the best of a flavor or about most precise pin point accurate ejuice of a flavor. Sometimes people/companies are trying to be different than the rest and/or they're adding their own twist to the flavor. Often times an apple drink flavored ejuice will have more fruit flavors in it than just apple, pg/vg, and nic.. so technically just saying apple isn't 100% accurate either. It's hard to say which branding I like the best because I like both but one thing (vaping pet peeve) that I do have with juice companies is if your name is like "Faded's Hamster Cage".. you should at the very least list what flavor you were going for, maybe list it under the ingredients. Doesn't have to be IN the name but list it on the bottle somewhere so I don't have to Google search all your flavors. I don't like products that don't list any info.

I just got some juice from Mount Baker Vapor, and they list the flavor profile of each offering in the thumbnail, below the actual name. That's all I ask--let the namers be as wacky as they wish; just don't make me have to struggle to find out what the hell they're selling.

I kind of disagree with that, as a DIY there is nothing more annoying than vaping something great, that you can't duplicate because the name rubbed off, and/or duplicating something very foul that yeah, the name rubbed off. Etc

I really.... I guess if it's storebought it doesn't matter as much but I would still like a name to what I'm tasting.

I mean, you don't go to a restaurant though to be served up "mystery meat" or "unicorn flank" either I mean you just DON'T.

I sort of think of it that way.
