I know this doesn't belong here, but I can't post anywhere else.
I have tried to read through the homemade e-liquid threads but am a bit confused/concerned. For now, I am using pre-mixed juice with med. nicotine but would like to eventually make my own nic-free juice. I'm a little slower than usual right now (vicodin.... will be having spinal fusion soon after a 3rd herniation of same disc), but I couldn't find a simple recipe for smoke juice with no flavoring. Also, concerned about getting the right brand or type of ingredients. Have been looking on Amazon.... Can't post links yet, sorry.
PG: Search Amazon.com for Durvet Propylene Glycol Gallon - 01 DSO1183
VG: Search Amazon.com for vegetable glycerine now 16 oz
When people here mention a couple drops of glycerin on the atty, are they referring to VEGETABLE glycerin, or is that something different, such as (search Amazon for.....) Glycerin Usp Liquid - 4 Oz? Or is that even different from VG?
It sounds like a homemade basic juice with no nic or flavoring would consist of a combination of PG and/or VG? Do I need one or the other or both? And water? I think I saw mention of Everclear, but I am trying to keep this as safe & simple as possible. While I have no doubt that vaping is safer than smoking, I still am trying to avoid any unnecessary risk. And while I doubt Everclear inhalation would be worse than smoking, again, I am trying to just use the simplist & safest ingredients.
I know this has probably been answered somewhere else, but like I said, I couldn't seem to find exactly what I was looking for.
I am still smoking analogs here and there. I suspect that is partially because I just am not completely happy with the PV I chose. Just not enough vapor for me. I have some 510s coming for me & my wife though. I hope it's not too much vapor now, of course it sounds like I could control that with my own recipe. I understand that VG creates more vapor as opposed to PG?
Sorry such noob questions, and thanks for a great vaping forum. It really irritates me that the FDA wants to shut these down. I understand their point of view, but even they have to admit that they are safer than smoking a cigarette!
