E-LVT/Atlantis tank

Ok so I got the E-LVT 2.0 and an Aspire Atlantis.
Worked great for the first two weeks I had it; today I changed out the coil and now it wont fire at all.
I was told by a local vape shop that the E-LVT cant push the Atlantis tank, despite it working fine for almost two weeks.
Does this sound right? If I take the adapter ring off it fires just fine, is that safe at all, or am I going to burn something out?

Did you buy the mod from that shop?

I would suggest if you did buy it from there dont go back and find a shop that knows what they are selling. It is supposed to fire down to .3 so it should work. Maybe it is just a bad coil try a new one and see if that works or try any other tanks on there with a higher resistance to check the mod itself.

the mod and tank came from two different shops, and the info came from a 3rd store.
Tried a new coil and the same thing happens, nothing, if i have the adapter ring, without it it fires.
