Hi all,

I haven't really seen any reviews of the E-Mech or rather, anyone listing any issues they have had with one... so I'm going to post mine.

First, let me start by saying that I absolutely love this thing. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and love the controls and capabilities. That being, I have had some issues. I've already had to replace this once, and have to replace it yet again. Here is why:

First, the second day I had this, I plugged the mini USB plug in to charge the batteries, and the port promptly broke off the circuit board and rattled around inside. Well that sure sucks, but the guy I bought it from replaced it right away, so no big deal.

So then about a day after receiving the replacement, I noticed that the display was coming apart from the body of the E-Mech. It wasn't sitting flush at the bottom of the display, and if I pressed it back down, it would come up again within minutes. This issue I could actually live with, but told the guy I bought it from anyway.

About a week later, I go to plug this one in and guess what? The charging port is loose, and will not charge the batteries. Seriously? Twice with the charging port?

So now I face this dilemma, get this one replaced and always use something like the Nightcore charger, not the mini USB port. Or have this replaced and sell it.

I'm not posting this to bash this thing. As I said, I do actually love it, but I'm posting this because I'm wondering if anyone else has had bad luck with these. So if anyone has, I'd love to know.

Well, yes. But the guy that sold it to me is just getting started in the business (importing mods for resale in the US), and he's been good to me with hookups, samples, etc. Dovpo replaces the defectives for him, but it takes quite a while, and I'd rather not put him through that if I can avoid it.

So there's that and the fact that I really don't want to get rid of this, I love this damn thing. lol

It's not much of a dilemma, I was being a bit dramatic in the original post. I'll keep the next one, but it's just a shame that such an awesome piece has had so many issues for me.

I've had my E-Mech V3 for about 2 months. I had no problems with the charger port that you have had, but, something much MUCH worse. With the power OFF, mine started to auto fire! It was bypassing the switch and chip and dumping the battery power straight to the 510 pin! Here's the video I posted about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3oYHL8kr5E
