I buy a lot of vape items from US sellers, especially mods, etc as the prices are around the same as ordering from china.

Most of what I order from fasttech are small accessory items. That are cheap on fasttech but ridiculously priced for the most part here.

As far as supporting a US Based Business. If you are buying from a vape store here, you may be supporting a local seller. But not really supporting a US Based Business as the stuff they sell came from China anyway.

LOL...I was reading the OP article and didn't see your reply before posting myself:facepalm:. Thanks for the link.

    :)

This whole issue has been a sore spot with me for a long, long time .. I hand make goods to sell and have for many, many years and not only do the China folks steal designs with no possible recourse, but they can ship it to the USA cheaper than I can fabricate it ..

All I've ever asked for is at least a level shipping cost .. as an example, if I were to send a 1 pound small package to China from St Louis, it would cost me about $23.00 for uninsured First Class Mail .. the same it costs me to ship to Europe or South America ..

No different than Walmart .. but, I am supporting a USA Business .. I understand where the goods come from .. yet, the USA B&M or Mail Order CO still pays the rent with the money I pay them ..

With that logic, why not really show your patriotism and spend your money on a USA designed & manufactured mod?

Or are you only patriotic up to a certain dollar amount?

Heh. That is generally how it works. I personally have no issue with China designing and building all the ecigs. They did invent them (or reinvent if you want to be technical).

One of the aspects of the Chinese vape industry I find disturbing I was told is that it’s almost entirely export. In China vaping is “discouraged” and nic juice is not available at all. Makes me worry a bit
    Population control maybe.
As long as they make money from something they will continue to provide the products.

Good news for domestic sellers I guess. E-packet prices have already gone up significantly once recently on FT. Not sure if that was the increase or if we’re going to see another one

I see it Not so much as Helping Domestic sellers. But as a way to Help a Cash Strapped USPS.

Why is the USPS always cash strapped?

Maybe part of it has to do with the USPS not being able to make Business changes and thing like Benefits decisions without the consent of that Incredibly Efficient group we know as "Congress"?

Tomato tomato. If FT suddenly costs $50 to use their days of under cutting US sellers by 60% are gone. The only reason to use FT is cost savings.

Guess a lot would depend on what the Actual Price Increase for shipping would be.

Uhh you know the Chinese mods have to be shipped to the us to be sold by us retailers right. The reason ft is cheap is because it’s essentially 3 people and a warehouse. The shipping agreements are why Chinese goods as a whole are cheap.
True. But bulk shipping SHOULD logically be cheaper but isn’t because to the treaty. The 3 guys in a warehouse model is world wide.

I could answer that one but it would have to go outside.
Admittedly USPS issues go far beyond this, but reportedly they receive less than $1.50 from the port of entry to your house.
Forbes ran an article last year that stated a package from South Carolina to NYC cost $6, from Beijing $3.66.
I do order on rare occasion from China, and I am fine with paying the going rate from SF, which would be $6 vs $1.50.

    I don’t disagree with that.
