E-Power question/problem

I just had an E-Power show up in the mail today and can't get it to work. batteries are charged and the atty I was using is good. The only thing that happens is the light flashes 3 times when I hit the button or put it together. Am I missing something or is this thing basically DOA?

Sounds like the Attys resistance is to low and is tripping the short circuit protection. Check it with a ohm reader and try a different Atty or carto.

I'm using one of the attys that came with it. I also tried a Resurrector and a CCV Dual Coil without any luck. I've read about many people using the lower resistance ones without any problem.

I'll still check it when my roommate gets home. I have no idea where his MM is.

...some E-Powers have a problem with the batt spring which can be fixed by stretching the spring...some of the vendors have extra springs for sale(Hoosiersecigsupply for one), I would suggest trying the fix suggested......

p.s. I use 1.5-6ohm dual coils and Resurrectors on my E-Power exclusively and have had no problems with it...........mj

I don't think the spring is the problem. I can feel a decent amount of resistance from it when screwing it together.

I had one of the switches go bad and do this. I'm thinking bad switch.

...imjusayin, give it a try...otherwise, get a spare switch(under 10 bux at CCV) and give that try(stretching the spring is free)........

What is it supposed to mean when it flashes 3 times though?

edit: Tried stretching the spring and that didn't help.

I'm waiting to hear back from CCV. I'm not going to buy another switch since this should work out of the box.

...low voltage...battery needs changing...may be a general "something is wrong" as well, I have never seen any documentation on the E-Power flash codes...................................

I talked to Andrew and he's going to send a new switch and spring. I was surprised he called on a Saturday, I figured I wouldn't hear back until next week.
