Hey bad... question for ya (and anybody else that wants to chime in),

I'm still using my older "plastic" 510's (I have a TON of them). Last night I opened a pack and got whacked in the face with the worst glue odor I've ever smelled. On closer inspection most of the smell was trapped in the mouthpieces, which went away completely after I aired them out overnight. I pulled a few small slivers of glue off the outside of the cups and rinsed and dry burned the cartos twice until the odor went away. I just filled them with juice and put them back together and "so far" I can't taste anything but juice... no glue.

Was that pretty much your experience with them or did you just throw yours away?

Same here too. I still wash loose pieces with soap and water on all of these things.

I dont consider washing them as modding, and i dont mind washing these things before use for one reason only. Becuase of how durable these things are.

washing old atomizers was a risk, they sometimes died but with the e2 i can wash them if i like with no worries. and while i had a few pop, it took alot of abuse to do so.

Funny that you mention how durable these are. I don't have any complaints because the number of uses I'm getting out of these is fantastic, but I have had more than a couple just "die" during use. The cost of them doesn't worry me at all, but because of that I've started carrying extra ones with me when I go out just in case. I don't know if they're shorting out or just giving out, but I'm used to attys burning out during a burn, not mid-vape.

the only ones i had die out on me where after many days of heavy use, some of those died mid vape. but i never had a new one die in a day or die during the first dry burn.
Im sure you guys have had that happen but so far these things have taken abuse with me prying in the coil area alot, washing them, prodding them, dry burning them and they have so far proven to be pretty tough . Not tooting the e2 horn since we are all aware some have their own issues but so far not bad.

ill say this, for a product that is meant to be disposable and for 1 buck to 1.30 a pop and cheaper in bulk, they are pretty good in the area of durability and longevity of use

I forget who was asking (I think it might have been Tiburonfirst), but I just PTB'd an older 7-hole M-series carto. It was a pita compared to the 510, but it's doable. Even using a plug 2/3rds as thick I still had trouble fitting it in because the diameter of the carto itself is smaller and harder to work with. With practice and experimenting with the PTB thickness it'll probably get easier though. Like the 510 mod I left the filler ring out and installed the middle ring flat side down.

Having said all that, vapor production and taste is the best I've EVER experienced on a 401 by far. In use it feels very much like the 510 PTB, and that's saying something. No leaking with this one, either.

well the r4 is almost here, check it out:

RoyalSmokers electronic cigarette factory in Shenzhen

I don't know, macromny, to the bomk we all order from e-liquid, as suggested on royal smokers (they call it the web shop). The USps normally calls the customer when there is a delivery difficulty to try to expedite delivery, make sure your address and phone is upt o date

they still have slots in that picture

well i decided to rinse the first R 3.5 last night, I almost threw it away after a dry burn
I noticed the wick was clean like new, but there was a lot of goo around the cup and possible on the rest of the wick

Today it looked real dry, so I rinsed it in water (that prolly did nothing), and just refilled it a minute ago....
after a few puffs the wick is full again and performing nicely again

Oh, and I did manage to replace the inner cap perfectly, but it did take a few moments. The good thing is that it does eventually fully squeeze back properly.

____________

nav, I think those bottles are not Luer Lok, otherwise 50 or 100ml is not that much larger than a 30.
the 100ml I got from them is barely taller than a 30ml bottle

i screwed down the carto until it made contact enough to fire, then took the cap off the carto and attached a lead of the voltometer to the wire in the carto, and one to the ground on the battery

I'm only finding 1.7 volts on my carto off the vgo, and 2.0 volts off of a kr808d1 battery, ground to coil center, ouch but the probe gets hot itself...anyway, my r-three and a half is burning at approx 1.9 volts out of the batteries...lots and lots of giant vapor.

_______________
How would I get more flavor, can the world's juice be improved a version or two?
edit/add never mind, I went back to my winston. I was trying a different brand menthol, I still need to find some good and strong flavors, but the carto is working fine, I just confirmed it after switching to my winston

I have some design ideas for improved juice, but I'm still working on the schematics...

thats a seperate issue, there is to many types of juice out there and not all of them are good.
ive been through more vendors juices and tried so many types to end up truly liking like 7 out of 100 tha i can vape daily.

but i just found out nhaler offers doubler flavors for his octane line and that stuff simply rocks, so now i can add more flavor to my favorite juices of all time.

I understand. Yes, flavoring is a separate issue, but if people could design the optimum recipe for the E2 that would be so good also.

vapor is good already with the e2, well I only got to try pg on the early e2 for a little while, and all I have had since I ran out of pg is just vg and peg, but vapor is not a problem with the e2, I think we just need the perfect recipees for the e2.

_______
I just peeked at their octane, but for some strange reason it says high voltage, and I really like lower voltage (like the 1.9volts my E2 is working great at), but higher capacity batteries (lower voltage; higher amp.hours)
