Good morning, all. I'm a long time reader and relatively new member of these forums, and I just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you for all the time and effort you've put in to creating this wonderful, informative forum. It's been a lifesaver (literally), and I really appreciate the resources that are available here.

I've been using my roommate's Provari 2.5 for a while now, and I absolutely love it. Several weeks ago I visited the Provape site for the 100th time and added $300 to my cart. I was finally going to take the plunge and buy my own! Then I stumbled upon PBusardo's Provape tour videos and learned that the P3 would be launching "very soon", so I decided to wait. Every day since then I've checked the site in hopes of hearing some news. The past two months have seemed like an eternity!

I'm glad they're taking the time to make sure it's up to snuff before releasing it, but it's starting to consume my thoughts. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve. Here's to hoping Santa comes soon! Looking forward to joining the Provarinati ranks. :)

I know the exact feeling. I'm lucky enough to already have one. But I've been thinking what would I personally want to see from the p3... ya know I'm not coming up with much. It seems already perfect for my needs. I don't need watts, don't need more power, don't want more buttons... So I think I have to pull the trigger on my 2nd in a few days. Plus it wouldn't surprise me if provape waited till november to capitalize on the christmas crowd.

The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to agree with you. The P3 may exceed my needs entirely. The 2.5 is just an amazingly durable, dependable, perfect PV. I just don't want to sit here wishing I'd waited a few months down the road. I'm excited to see what all their aerospace engineers dreamt up.

In PBusardo's tour video, one of the owners responds to a question about people on Facebook .....ing about their lack of innovation by saying, "We have been innovating for the past two years. They just haven't seen it yet". He had a wry smile on his face while he said it. That ten second span is all I can think about when I hover over the purchase button for the 2.5.

Honestly I wish they would just release some details so I could make a decision. Obviously they're pretty sure what the final product will be capable of at this point. I understand the need to build hype before release, but if it's close it'd be nice to have an idea of what we're waiting for. Sadly they already know I'm willing to wait as long as it takes. Along with everyone else. :)

When I got my 1st one, all people could talk about was some mysterious huge sale coming up that no one knew exactly when it would start. A number of people were waiting for it to order their first one but I just went for it. Turned out there was a few weeks between then & the start of their 10% off sale which was the biggest sale they had done up to that point. I'm so glad I didn't wait.

P3 may or may not be everything you're dreaming of. But what about all the time between now & then that you could be happily vaping away on an already excellent device that you're sure to be happy with as is? Maybe you'll like the P3 more, but it won't make the 2.5 any less than what it is.

I suspect the Provari 3 will include eGo cone threads, a slight boost in wattage and amp limit, no big drop in the required ohm limit and a updated menu system. Possibly no need to fire the device to check the battery level or the resistance of the atty attached.

It might also have a flat top instead of the sloped, slanted top.

They may also do away with the 18490 battery tube length and make all the newer P3s 18350 like the mini and offer 2 extended bottom caps. One for the 18490 and another for 18650.

I've been running my V2.5 in 18490 mode and get about 1.5 days out of that battery. I don't run it at to high a voltage, 3.4 to 4.1 but mostly in the 3.4 to 3.6 range. I also vape on other devices throughout the day so that might be the reason for the 1.5 days on one battery.

Those are some pretty solid assumptions, Shootist! I hope you're spot on about the flat top. That is my one and only complaint about the 2.5. Every time I change tanks the beauty ring goes rolling across the floor.

I travel quite a bit for work and often don't have time to stay in one place long enough to charge batteries, so I'd probably get a standard size unit with 18650 batteries. The mini does seem tempting, though.

I've heard that speculated, but nothing to support it.
I can assure you that the new ProVari is not going to replace the ProVari 2.5. We're planning to introduce a number of new 2.5's in some great finishes, and we're certain it's going to be around for a long, long time! You made a wise purchase!

I don't hang out at saloons either and I happened to see it. It was a post by the newer supplier associate.

I don't see it being sold as a V3. Anyone want to speculate on a new name?

Provape2014? ProCamper? SolarPro?
A registered trademark for the name "P3" has been applied.
