Early Impressions: GV Vision Deaux

Ordered a couple of these a week or so ago and been playing with a few of them having a few different juices to try out. Generally they've been working quite well on my Buzz Pro (new toy!) and I'm keeping it just under 4.2 volts (before load). Any higher than that and they tend to taste burnt.

Anyway - was vaping away on lunch on some Honey Flue Tobacco from BWB and my batteries in my Buzz died (knew I should have swapped them before going to work) - but I did at least bring spares The goofy thing is that after replacing the batteries - the Vision Duex is simply dead. D.E.D Dead. Batteries are recharging now and appear to be working fine - and the replacements fire the other Vision Duexs that I have in the rotation. Since the Honey Flue was only on the 2nd or 3rd fill however, it seems a bit premature for it to suddenly die.

I still may try out some tank designs as I do like the ease of these - but I'm not sure that the flavor is quite as good as I've been getting out of my GoGo carts in the past.

Thoughts anybody?

Do check that pin the bottom. Make sure it contacts good where it should. Occasionally I get 510 stuff that I need to stick a tool in there and pull it out a little so it sits right on the battery. I've had this happen on all sorts of atomizers and cartomizers before.

Flavor is great to me for the liquids I put in mine. Note, I do have a couple of liquids that I don't even bother to put in a CE2 type carto, as I know they'll do better in something else, but most flavors do well for me so far in these. Here lately I mix more of my own very simple flavors anyway and tweak them to taste.

I just got my Vision yesterday, put some dark coffee juice in it (Maiden Coffee from GV) which isn't all that thick, just really dark. It hasn't worked well in my cartos so I thought I'd give it a shot in the Vision. Well, first couple of hits, I got nothing, no taste, plenty of vapor. Tipped it up so the juice went to the atty and tried again. Got a great flavor hit, again, nice vapor. However, after about 3 or 4 hits, I get that nasty painful dry burt hit and even after tipping.

I let it sit overnight and tried it again this morning. I'm getting some really nice hits but then back to the dry hot burnt hits and I'm not chain vaping it. I finally emptied the dark juice out and washed it, its sitting in the sun to dry. I really want to like this thing, it doesn't leak like the Fluxomizer did when I leave it on its side, that was my only complaint about the Flux and the Vision seems to have solved that issue. Plus its a breeze to fill, love that too. Just need to figure out why I'm getting the dry burnt hits from it??

ok very simple try this out, remove your mouth peace, use a tool to lift that inner plug up a little on each side where the wick is, once you do that your issue should be solved, and which coffee is this, is this our new coffee or coffee form someone else.

Its Maiden Coffee from Gourmet Vapor, like I said not thick just really dark. I just put it all back together, put some Bounty Hunter in it and so far so good.

ahh ok, i thought it was our coffe and got confused cause our new coffe isnt that dark and works well in the vision, ok well maybe its a problem juice, it could also be ot heavy on flavor, even if its not thick, certain flavors in large amount can effect the performance of a carto.

like when i make gummy bear, to much in the base and it browns up, so certain flavors can mess with performance.

Well, it says the cones for for eGo bats, that won't fit my Riva 510 correct?

hmm, im not sure, it might or might not, do ego cones fit the riva, if so then it will, i gave away my riva so i cant test for you.

Yes, eGo cones and Riva cones are the same.

I have one of these one the way to me (YAY). I'm wondering how they are doing with thicker juices? I have 2 juices right now that are almost pure VG base and don't work well in all cartos. But I also have some Golly Jolly on the way with the Vision so i'm sure that will work with it

I have VGO's from MIT and they have a slightly different thread to the eGo's and the cones don't screw on.

It performs fabulous, works well with tasty vapor's geoff's blend and is super easy to maintain. I haven't found a downside yet so I'm thinking about getting one for each flavor I use. Has anyone used them with atomic cinnacide or cinnabomb yet?

I'd avoid putting AC in anything clear plastic like the Vison. Really, I personally avoid plastic now with AC all together. In fact, I even move my AC from the plastic bottles to glass bottles as soon as I can.

I'm still on a quest for the perfect carto to hold TV's AC. So far, I like that particular flavor best dripped on a regular atty, or in a Kanger horizontal coil KR808-D1 cartomizer. 2nd best in a metal CE2 (remove any black rubber inside and don't fill all the way...keep upright).

I'm about to try it in a Sapphire/Bud to see how those hold up under AC. Since the Bud uses a very different kind of plastic(more like the stuff the juice bottles and syringes are made of) it just might take the acid.

That AC is just brutally acidic (or at least the last few batches I've had was), I'd personally avoid loading up a Vision or Giantomizer with AC. Still one of my all time favorite flavors tho'.

P.S. Get a metal or glass drip tip for AC too! I know it eats the little clear-color tips to bits.

You mean the Vision Deux can take it? Or some later bomb about to be dropped?

Do you happen to know if they will fit on a GLV? They're not quite as wide as an eGo, right?
