Learned to make coils on youtube. Hold the wire against a drill bit and wrap the coil. OK. My workbench is made of wood so I drilled a hole on the side of it with the bit I am wrapping coils on. Stuck the bit halfway in the hole. Next drilled another hole 2.5 inches away. I put the wire (6 inches) in the second hole and then jam a toothpick (cut short) in with it. This makes it much easier for me to wrap the wire neatly around the drill bit. Kind of like a jig but doesn't cost anything and is very handy.

yep that would work just fine i just use a sewing needle and push that through the wick and then wrap coil around takes me a minute or two to rebuild a coil.
