you might want to provide a little more details on what hardware your using, it will make it easier for people to chime in if they know what setup you have. youtube is a great tool as well for learning how to build coils.
1. Google "Artistic Wire Gizmo", turn the crank and make a perfect micro coil every time
2. For a nice, evenly space non-micro coil, wrap your wire around a 4-40 machine screw, following the threads
3. Search here for a hand-held coil winding tool
I think the 4-40 machine screw is easy, I use a coil making device for jewelry (comes in various sizes from 1mm - 8mm). Some people use a toothpick! You can use almost anything to wrap wire around....
