8. Screw them on combined and the rubber tube will snap in place into the driptip.

Interesting, I have 5 mini novas and not one of them had the little piece inside the drip tip. I came across a great deal on them yesterday so I will check to see if either of them has this piece. I don't have any problems without it though. Just curious as to why some came with that piece and others didn't. could it be a vendor thing??

I just purchased another one from a local vendor that didn't have it either. Not sure why since I think it would be placed there by the manufacturer.

I've also used stardust replaceable heads with the novas. Looks like this plastic tip serves the same function as the existing metal tip on the stardust heads.

Saw this thread by chance, changed everything for me. My mini seemed airy since I got it, but it wasn't bad, just warm. Last night I threw a metal tip on it to cool down my lips, worked wonders for that, still airy of course. Pulled the stock tip out soon as I read this, examined the piece after I extracted it, placed it beveled edge up into the cap, reseated and reapplied my metal tip. At least 3x the vapor production now with a nice clean draw across the coil and it hits like dripping an atty rather than inhaling steam from a pot. And I see that I'm using the liquid rather than pooling it under the tip, even though I never got any in the mouth.

Many thanks. This should really be a sticky or in an index where people will find it.

Note: I had no luck with IceManJP's method, it kept sitting funny, had to apply it to the cap first, but many thanks to the super clear pics for understanding the outcome!

The rubber piece inside the drip tip is there simply to help prevent juice from making its way out of the drip tip into your mouth.

I don't see the need to use this method of removing it & placing it as people are posting. I've tried it both ways with several novas & I don't get ANY leaking ANYWHERE no matter what.

That would be expecting 100% consistency between yours and others. Or that they aren't possibly a knock off. Given that the VVN heads rarely are the Ωs they have stamped on the side, we can tell quality control leaves something to be desired and that they are probably going to vary in some fashion from each other.

Mine definitely leaked into the top metal cap before this. It still does, but considerably less and only if its tipped sideways for a touch too long.

Trying this right now with the BIG ViVi NOVA 3.5ml tank. I couldn't place it into the top part of the metal piece that the drip tip goes into, as the piece is too small and fell out. I placed it into the top of the atomizer head cap and then screwed the top on and put my drip tip in. We'll see if this works as well as people are claiming. It's not a horrible leak, but if I could stop this from happening, then it would save some time and aggravation.

Thanks,
Strizzy

whaaaaaaaat? vivi novas work without the rubber cap on the atomizer head. I do it all the time. I use my head like one of those cup and ball games, I spill liquid into the atomizer head and get a nice fresh hit as if i had just dripped into an atty. I know I've posted this all over the forum, a lot, but I just wanted to contradick you :p
